hola, definitivamente 30 minutes cést ne pa possible. Para visitar el castillo por lo menos desde que uno llega uno tiene que disponer de mínimo 1 hora y 30 con el tiempo exacto y corriendo y con los tickets ya comprados! además en el mismo lugar esta el Schloss Neuschwanstein que es más impresionante y visitarlo tomas mas tiempo. Cuando los visite fue un día destinado a esos 2 castillos , tomando en cuenta la ida y regreso en donde estaba alojada. Espero haberlo ayudado un poquito tarde mi respuesta pero ahí va. No deje de visitarlos!

Ho visto italiani contenti di trovare posto online quando i cartelli all'esterno della biglietteria davano il tutto esaurito, per poi rendersi conto di aver prenotato per un MESE diverso dall'attuale !! È facile confondersi perché il sistema online ti dà la prima disponibilità e potrebbe essere del mese successivo.

You might be disappointed then when visiting the Schloss Hohenschwangau should you not see what you came to see. Having said that, there are spectacular views of the mountains and river from Schloss Neuschwanstein, just up the mountainside from the Schloss Hohenschwangau located on the hilly part of town below.

You may not have time to see both castles. Go online to book reservations for tour times and preferred language. You need to book in advance. The tours are very popular. We had a 9:30 and 12:00 tour. Hohenschwangau is a 5 minute climb up steps from town. Neuschwanstein is a 40 minute climb up a paved road. You can pay for a horse carriage to save your breath but not much time.

You are able to walk around the castles, touch them, and get all the photo's you would like without going on the tour inside. There are hiking trails around both castles that I recommend, particularly Queen Mary's bridge (Marienbrücke). Great for pictures!

Yes, the visit is indoor. The walk to the castle is easy and short (also alternative by paved road).

Make sure you book tickets online in advance. When we went the line for tickets was loooooooooong ;)

Yes you are right. Actually only half of facilities are open / possible to visit by public guide. One reason is that there are massive re-constructions going on in that caste. I think we cant do anything but wait for better times when they will open more rooms to visit?
