We went on a study abroad trip and Levi, Sierra, and the Thirsty Historian group was amazing. They lead us through a week and a half of Germany and Italy showing us the different beers and wines of the region. They also helped us dive tight into the culture and help us better understand the history and people we were encountering. They had everything scheduled and planned out perfected for us and never missed a beat. They are such great people and they will never fail to show you a good time. We toured multiple breweries and wineries and were able to speak with some of the owners of the facilities. It was overall an amazing trip and I wouldn't have been the same without them.

The Thirsty Historian made our experience so much better than what it could have been. They welcomed us with a drink, and positive attitudes after they picked us up from the airport. They showed us beautiful views of the cities we toured and gave lots of history about them as well. They made us feel at home by getting to know us and connecting with us as well. They made the days fun and exciting. Levi, Sierra, and the rest of The Thirsty Historian crew went above and beyond with our group and worked well with accommodating each and every one of them. I would recommend them to every person traveling abroad.

I cannot recommend The Thirsty Historian enough. Levi, Sierra, and The Thirsty Historian team curated the most excellent experience for our trip. Not only were they incredibly informative, but by the end of the trip it was as if we were traveling alongside great friends. It was hard to part ways, and I cannot imagine this trip with any other tour guides.

It was amazing! We had such a fun time. They know Germany so well and create a schedule which is just the right amount of structured and flexible. They also are awesome people who are fun to hang out with. They were able to get all 30 of our group around both Germany and Italy, always bringing snacks and beer.

The most amazing experience anyone could ask for! Levi, Sierra, and the Thirsty Historian crew are some of the best people to experience Germany and Europe with. Leaving the tour after a little over a week with them left me sad but looking forward to the next time I book an experience with them. You will leave Europe with no regrets if you’re lucky enough to experience it with them. From beer tents, beer halls, beer gardens, tastings, sight seeing, and so much more, all the memories made will be forever cherished. I truly cannot thank them enough!

If I could rate The Thirsty Historian higher I would! Levi, Sierra and the Thirsty Historian Crew did a phenomenal job with showing us the best of Munich, Bavaria, and parts of Italy! Not only were they engaged with our large group, they went out of their way to make our experience extremely customized and made an effort to check in with us as we went to different locations. Levi and Sierra were extremely reliable and offered a plethora of great food and drink suggestions throughout our trip. I would 10/10 recommend booking with The Thirsty Historian if you have the opportunity!

Levi and Sierra were both amazing tour guides for our class trip. Our trip in Germany and Italy wouldn't have been the same without them. They are great tour guides but even better people to hang out with and experience the culture abroad. Super grateful for them and the time spent in Germany and Italy with them.

Hi,
My husband and I will be in Munich and are trying to book the Munich Experience 5 hour tour for Wednesday, October 31, 2018 and another tour on Thursday, November 1st, 2018 to the Weltenburg Monastery. I sent an email and also went on the web site and sent an inquiry June 17th but as of yet have not heard anything? Is there something else I can do to try to make reservations?

We are a group of 12 looking for a private tour and then to end the evening at a smaller higher end FUN. Oktoberfest tent. Anyway you can make that happen for us or know someone who could? Our time is limited in Munich and want to experience the best of your city. We arrive Saturday AM from Majorca Spain and are in Munich till Monday AM then we head back to the states. We are definitely a fun group of late 40 early 50 year olds 😀.

Hello,
Thank you for your interest in our tours. We do offer tours during that time although it is one of the busiest seasons. We would be happy to put some ideas together for a tour. Because that is also a Holiday in Germany there may be a few places that we would like to take you to that are closed.
If you could please send us an email or provide yours we will be able to research a bit more and put together a better itinerary for your visit to respond.
Please let us know some more details of what you are interested in. There may still be some Christmas-style markets to visit. Most do close by December 25th. We could likely take you to a brewery in Munich on the Beer & Brewery tour and of course conduct City Highlights or Third Reich History tours. Many excursions from Munich are also possible.
