我徒步从葡萄园到达要塞，整个徒步过程非常有趣。有些地方很陡，所以如果你身体不好的话，你可能需要乘坐公交车才能到达。我周一去了那里，博物馆关闭了，但庭院和庭园对游客开放。从这个地方往下看，景色美极了。广场上有许多有趣的雕像。

这个古镇的经典照片的拍照角度地点, 就在这里的花园, 拍照很漂亮, 尽量选下午来, 阳光照在整条美茵桥上跟河流中的倒影, 非常漂亮, 不过若是要在桥上拍这个古堡, 就要早上才不会面阳光拍照了.

一旦你过了桥步行到要塞城堡，你有两个选择。向左走35分钟或者向右走40分钟。我们偶然走的是40分钟的路线，这是一个很棒的决定。这条路不包括楼梯，是一种渐进式的攀登。这比另一条全是楼梯和陡峭上坡的步道容易走得多。我们沿着这条路走了下去，很高兴我们走了另一条路。有些人在努力攀登着。如果你有车的话，要开车！景色太棒了！

80年代末的时候我爸爸在这里工作，所以我在这里住了四年，这可能是我记忆里最具标志性的一个地方。对我来说，这里是城市的亮点——穿过旧桥，走到美丽的城堡，然后可以看到维护良好的场地和墙壁。这两个博物馆很棒棒，如果语言方面再增加些会更好。从这里可以看到最好的城市风光。

这个地区周围的乡村是最好的！我们沿着这条河走了好几英里，一边看着水闸工作，一边走到这座要塞城堡，欣赏周边地区的壮丽景色！河边的啤酒冰凉可口……

走上山去看看城市的景色真是太好了。从那里你可以看到大部分的景点，例如:国会山教堂，马里礼拜堂，香肠堡教堂等。地点在河的另一边，所以我建议在天气不太热的时候去参观，避免出汗太多……我们带着婴儿车成功地登顶了。

目前我们看到的这个样子的城堡是15世纪开始建造的，16世纪才建好。然而这片区域早在公元前1000年就已经被凯尔特人修建了防御工事。1945年3月16日维尔兹堡遭到轰炸，堡垒也遭到了严重的破坏。修复工作一直到1990年才完成。城堡最内在的部分就是内院和圣玛丽教堂，但是它现在正在关闭翻修。内院被四个带有三个塔的王宫建筑包围起来。而内院和王宫建筑又被防御工事和城堡外墙包围起来。由于堡垒位于山顶，因此可以欣赏到整个维尔茨堡市的美景。

一个很棒的地点。实际上顶部有公共停车场。徒步往上走运动量大，但是可行。城堡建筑群保存完好，值得一看。俯瞰Würzburg景观非常棒。最好的一点是，你不必支付任何费用。

这座堡垒是纽姆堡长城的一部分。它是德国保存最好的城墙之一。它值得一游，值得我们去探寻这座城市过去的辉煌。它为这座城市提供有利位置。

Wir würden gerne von der Innenstadt zur Festung Marienberg laufen. Allerdings sind wir mit Kinderwagen unterwegs. Gibt es nur den Weg über die Stufen oder gibt es auch einen schönen Weg, der sich gut mit dem Kinderwagen bewältigen lässt?

Ich weiss nichtr ob es einen besonderen Weg gibt, auf dem man mit dem Kinderwagen fahren kann. Allein wegen des Höhenunterschiedes würde ich empfehlen mit dem Bus zur Burg zu fahren und sich auf dem relativ weitläufigen Gelände mit dem Kinderwagen zu bewegen.Die Burg liegt ja deshalb so hoch,damit auch Feinde Schwierigkeiten hatten, sie zu Fuß einzunehmen. Es gibt oben genug zu sehen und sich anzuschauen, da sollte man sich seine Kraft für die Gebäude selbst und die tollen Aussichtspunkte über Würzburg aufbewahren.

While walking the hills to the fortress are there places to rest - benches? I am in pretty good shape but have arthritic knees.... really want to see this amazing sight up close and my cruise is offering a tour. Any advice is appreciated!

When we visited the fortress we walked through the side streets. Yes, there are steps and it is a little challenging but if you take your time it is certainly worth the visit. Reasonably priced as well for entry. We visited in December and the fortress was closed but the museum was open. Think from memory it is closed from Oct - Mar but you need to confirm this. Not sure how your cruise will take you there but it didn't take that long to walk at an easy pace..

Climbing the hill is a lot of work, maybe better to catch a bus or taxi uphill and walk back to town downhill.

Yes, you can do that. The entrance is at the Fort just above the parking lot - middle of the building.

You can drive, not a lot of parking, in peak times.
Coaches do drive up there.

Hello. We will be staying in Hanover and are planning on a trip to Marienburg. We plan on leaving Hanover by train at around 9am to arrive around 10am, including the short walk, then returning the same way from 12pm to 1pm. Is two hours enough time to see everything at the Castle?

You'd be on the train longer than you'd be at Marienburg? No . . . better you should go elsewhere near Hannover in my opinion. Try Herrenhausen Gardens or Hameln (research and find your preference).
