Really lovely place. We visited on one of the hottest days of the year and being inside the greenhouses was still very manageable. Amazing photo opportunities too, would definitely recommend visiting if you find yourself wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of central Berlin.
Only issue being for international tourists is that info plaques are all in German - no english translations.

Beautiful gardens hidden away in a residential area, about 15-20 mins walk from nearest underground. Gardens were vast and it was surprisingly quiet. The glasshouse's are a must see, especially the cacti and lily pad sections. Only gave it 4 stars as the museum was closed but well worth a visit.

Wir besuchen regelmäßig den Botanischen Garten und entdecken trotzdem immer wieder neue Ecken die uns begeistern. Tolle Anlage, besonders die riesigen Gewächshäuser.

Molto bello, ben curato e ricco di esemplari da tutto il mondo. Anche il parco è gradevole e variegato. Merita una visita se si ha del tempo per visitare qualcosa a Berlino che sia diverso dalle solite mete più famose.

We hebben al heel wat botanische tuinen gezien. Deze is aardig. Seizoen was voorjaar maar er stond nog weinig in bloei. Kassen zijn groot en mooi!

Wow! And no, not in a good way. I was absolutely astonished at how disrespectful and unhelpful all the staff there is… I came a day prior to ask at the entrance what to reserve and the woman there told me I just need to buy the tickets online. After showing up the next day with my tickets, the lady at the entrance gave my girlfriend and I SUCH a hard time because our student ID‘s did not have an expiration date. I told her my international cellular is really weak here, so it would be hard for me to log in to my university portal, but luckily there was a wifi hotspot. She still wasn’t content but after I asked her to call her boss she let us go. Great, so we passed the first gate of hell! After getting to the greenhouse, these two guys were there to check our vaccine cards and tickets, just to tell us that we reserved tickets only for the outside and not inside… I was pretty much losing my mind, because I literally went there the day before to ask what to book, and was told regular tickets. So now I had tickets to see a dead forest in the middle of winter and two useless guys telling me they don’t know how to help. I told them I would literally pay for the entrance but they didn’t budge, and said I had to reserve a different time slot despite there not being a single other person in the greenhouse. Safe to say I gave up, asked for my money back, and will never go there again. Not saying everyone will have the same experience as me, but just consider going elsewhere in Berlin… But hey, at least I got to use the restroom there!

Im Prinzip schöne Veranstaltung aber leider teilweise sehr unfreundliches Security-Personal. Auch wenn sie in der Sache vollkommen Recht haben; Man kann auch freundlich bleiben. Im konkreten Fall sind mehrere Besucher bereits außerhalb (!) der Veranstaltung vom Wachdienst lauthals angeschissen worden, die Maske aufzusetzen.
Zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr auch brechend voll. Man stand sich oft auf den Füssen.
Leider war dann auch noch das Lichtermeer kaputt und wurde während wir da waren auch nicht mehr in Betrieb genommen.

Es ist eine Frechheit dafür Eintritt zu nehmen. Der Zugang wurde genau geprüft, 2G das ist ja okay. Im Park war dann Maskenpflicht ich wurde auch öftes darauf hingewiesen, diese richtig auf zusetzen. An den Glühweinständen war das dann völlig aufgehoben, mann stand eng aneinander ohne Abstand und Maske, hier zählt dann die Kohle und das so gelobte Hygienekonzept hatte sich dann erledigt. Darüber hinaus konnte man nur wie eine Herde Schafe im Kreis laufen. Die Installationen hatten mich auch nicht überzeugt, das habe ich schon wesentlich besser gesehen. Fazit, dieses Event lohn sich nicht.

At least a vouple of hours. Depends on weather and on how much you are interested in botanics. The glasshouses are definitely worth visiting, since they are the largest in Europe. The park outdoor is also huge. We spend there normally 2-3 hours.

Hello,im planing to visit in october,is it worth to go there in that time?Also i read on the botanic gardens home page that The Victoria greenhouse is closed,that means we cant see inside of it?Is there any other greenhouses?

I'm not sure about October but I would assume it will still be warm enough to enjoy. There are a few greenhouses, so you won't feel like you have missed out with the one shut! (Though do check the content of the Victoria greenhouse as my favourite had a waterfall).
