Definitely an area worth visiting, lots of different shops bars and restaurants. Good on a rainy day also as you can pop in and out of the shops.
Can get very busy especially in the evening similar to Oxford street in London. Very crowded, but it is getting closer to Christmas so this is expected.

Next to the Kaiser Wilhem Memorial Church, Kurfürsterdam Street is Berlin's luxury shopping street. The main street along with the famous Unter den Liden.
Select shops and franchises, impressive buildings, luxurious cars and many tourists. Nearly three kilometers of route but do not worry about the return, buses 19 and 29 take you back to the departure point or drop you at the door of the famous Berlin warehouses KaDeWe. Because Tauentzienstrasse Street is also part of this luxurious shopping area.

Interesting place to walk up and down . We visited a few shops but didn’t buy much apart from a few odds and ends. Worth a visit and to grab a coffee

Was out in Charlottenburg and kurfurstendam to see the Kaiser Wilhelm kierche (the lipstick and powder can). The last time we were there, the church was closed due to Corona.
In addition, we went for a walk around the city. Not a place I would stay during my stay in Berlin, as there is not much to experience in that district.

Der Kurfürstendamm hat in den letzten Jahren wieder an Anziehungskraft gewonnen. Früher fuhren die Gäste wegen der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche und dem Europa-Center hierher, den Wahrzeichen des alten Westberlin. Längst sind die neuen Gebäude am Ku'damm im Bereich des Zoo die Touristenmagneten. Im Kranzler-Gebäude ist oben jetzt ein cooles Cafe, unten im Haus ist der Ampelmann-Shop empfehlenswert. Entlang des Ku'damm stadtauswärts reihen sich Geschäfte aller bedeutenden internationalen Marken aneinander. Viele Auswärtige zieht es jedoch Richtung Tauentzien zum Nollendorfplatz und zum KaDeWe, Deutschlands wohl bedeutendstem Kaufhaus, das mit Harrods, Macy's und den Galeries Printemps locker mithalten kann.

We enjoyed the walk and it was interesting to see all the luxury brand shops. We enjoyed the zoo and Gedächtniskirche at the other end of it.

Any restaurant(s) in particular that has good food? Headed there in a few days and was hoping to get an idea of a good place to grab a quick bite. Have a few hours to kill. Thanks!

There is a really nice food-court style self serve restaurant on the 6th floor of Karstadt. Food was great - not a typical US food court, rather much better stuff. Good salads, sandwiches, meat dishes , desserts, wines, etc. And they have a nice outdoor balcony which overlooks the Kaiser Wilhelm church

We are visiting on a cruise on a Sunday in May. I have heard most shops are closed on Sundays. Is it still worth a visit. I am not a great shopper anyway.

Shops will be mostly closed. Germany has very little Sunday shopping. If you stroll on Kurfuerstendamm on a sunny Sunday, you will find lots of restaurants open. The stretch is very worth-while simply for seeing the mix between older and modern. Make sure that you see the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedaechtniskirche at Breitenbergplatz. It is a moving testimony to the heartbreak of destruction and the courage to rebuild and carry on!

Ci sono stato molte volte di sera e non ho notato cose pericolose la zona meno bella è dall'uscita della stazione per i barboni che vi stazionano ma neppure in questa zona ho avuto il benchè minimo problema
