We've done several food tours in various cities around the world. Unfortunately, this one wasn't one of the favorites. The food choices were excellent. However, relationships with the restaurants where the food and table is ready in advance would be ideal. Good little snippets of Berlin info/history was included.

Our guide Liz took us to a variety of restaurants where we learned about Berlin while enjoying tasty treats. We especially enjoyed the Currywurst and the Vietnamese hamburger. It was our first time in Berlin and Liz made sure we had a great time. Highly recommend!

It was my first time in Berlin. I went all alone so I wanted to see the real Berlin.
From the first moment I met Liz she was an amazing person! She took us to many places where I would have never went to. 2 days later I ate another currywurst but the one I ate with Liz was the best! The groups are not big and I met lovely people. If you come to Berlin and you look for a food tour then this is the one! The price is very good for what you get!

Having just landed in Berlin this morning, a walking tour replete with tasty modern food stops seemed just the ticket and we were not disappointed! We had a great time, led by Liz, who guided us expertly through historical courtyards, past urban parks and along Berlin's varied streets, providing just the right amount of historical information to whet our appetites to explore this city further (and allow the food time to settle between stops!). Whilst all the food stops were good, watch out for the Vietnamese-German "burger", definitely a favourite!

We did the tour my mom and I, for some reason we were just 2 in the tour instead of max 8 people.
So we enjoyed a private tour with Liz our guide.
She let us also choose to get inside shops if we wanted and was so nice and funny. We ate a lot of delicious food.
And I highly recommend it

I do food tours basically everywhere I travel, and unfortunately this one was one of the most poorly organized. My guide was Liz. She was lovely - very friendly and knowledgeable - no complaints about her at all. And having read some other reviews on here, I think we actually did get to hear a lot about history and culture during our tour, so I do think Liz was great for that.
But here are the things that bothered me. Basically immediately after meeting the group, Liz said we would all have a food buddy to share with. Now,this seems fine if you are traveling as a couple or in an even-numbered group of friends, but i was traveling alone. Sharing food does not tend to bother me (and in most food tours, you do eventually end up at a place that serves family- style), but to basically be told off the bat, "hey, welcome, let's split all your food with a stranger" - just kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
Then our very first food was the iconic German pretzel. But they were cold. It seemed perhaps they had been purchased earlier in the day. And then we had to literally split the pretzels in half to share with our food buddy. I don't think it would be too hard to either pick up the pretzels immediately before the tour or to stop at a pretzel place as our first stop, and they are also not exactly the most costly food that requires sharing.
Next stop was currywurst. I know this is a fast food/ street food kind of place, but the establishment where we went did have some tables. Other food tours I have been on would have had a table reserved for us. Instead, we fought for space outside and shared a tiny standing-room-only table, all the while trying to share a finger food with our stranger food buddy.
The next location, a Vietnamese restaurant, was probably the most well-organized, and there we split sandwiches in half, so no complaints.
Next was a bakery. There was literally no room for us (again, a table should have been reserved) and I think one or 2 people from our group had to stand. Liz chose a pastry she had never had before, which seems so odd to me - aren't these tours supposed to be for the tried and true food favorites? It was not bad but I just thought this was so weird.
Liz told us the next stop was for cheesecake. Well, we got there and they were out of cheesecake! I don;t care about cheesecake at all, but again, organization - the place should have known we were coming and had the cake ready for us.
Last stop was a bar for sparkling wine or drink of your choice, and this was enjoyable.
I will say this is the first time in all my food tour experiences that I did not leave stuffed and in fact still had another meal that evening. I also have a shocking lack of food pictures from this tour, which means I really didn't find any of the food very exciting.
I think the tour has potential and certainly has quality people working there, but they need to be better organized and cultivate better relationships with the restaurants.

I am so very sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations and thank you for your feedback.
It does sound like on your tour it was one of those hectic days and the organization and flow was not as it usually is, so please accept my sincere apologies for that.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me either here directly or by email and perhaps we can arrange for you to have another tour free of charge so we can show that Bite Berlin really is a 5* experience.
Warm regards,
Sam

I don't want to give away any of the guide's surprises but I will say the variety of cuisines and foods was impressive. You'll be full at the end! I think it was approx 3 hours. Owner very helpful and responds quickly to questions when we were arranging.
