Wow such a beautiful marketplace with numerous historic buildings. Really worth it. Also come out several other nice streets such as the butcher street. The effort again.

My husband was busking in this market and had a great time with local people who enjoy Renaissance music. The market has great flowers and produce at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is upbeat and friendly. The town of Bremen has that storybook charm and the historic buildings are beautiful. It's a special place.

Bremen's market square is beautiful. It has been carefully restored and beautifully decorated and is still in use. The surrounding houses and historic buildings make this square a "must see" when visiting Bremen.

Beautiful central square full of beautiful buildings.
The fun thing is to go in search of the famous musicians statue which is a little hidden.
Remember to caress the donkey's legs, it brings good luck; but be careful, caress both paws otherwise it is said to be a handshake between similar people....

The Marktplatz in Bremen is a happening place. The time I visited, there was a festival going on. It was full of rides, drinks, and delicious food. Unfortunately, the festivals are in all photos of the Rathaus but I guess it adds character to the photos. The town square is beautiful though with the Rathaus and Cathedral.

Le Rathaus, construit au 15ème siècle et lieu à l'origine de la signature du traité de paix de 1648 (après la guerre des 30 ans), est le bâtiment le plus impressionnant de cette place au centre-ville. Lors de la première visite, nous n'avons pas vu les 4 musiciens de Brême, qui sont un peu cachés sur le flanc gauche du bâtiment. Le bâtiment plutôt moderne sur un côté ne nous a pas plu.

Like in many German towns this is the main square, the Market square as its name says, dating back to medieval times when it was the main merchant gathering place.
Major buildings here are the historic and magnificent Town Hall, as well the imposing St. Peter's Dom. Besides them, the square in surrounded with fairy tale like gabled houses, outdoor cafes and restaurants making it the loveliest part of Bremen.
