So much good heard about Warnemünde, so expensive holiday booked and precautionary parking to it, as we were urgently dependent on car wg. Severe disability of the partner.
Since we could only get the booked parking on the 3rd day, we wanted to use the garage of the landlord, which was however far too far away and strangely located. So how hysterically sought parking and found nothing 🤦. There was really nothing to be found, as long as the crusaders had their own parking garage. Completely exhausted, parked in front of the house out of necessity, knowing about the ticket. Came up with the announcement that towing is on the way.
Going again, looking for parking, goes, if anything, only at completely outdated vending machines with cash. None there, cake bought in the bakery, change does not fit, please change, no, let’s not do 😩. Nice customer helps out👍.
The car was later parked somewhere in Wallachia and raced the next morning...
Finally on 3. Day to the ordered parking, zero possibility to park properly to briefly ring out the landlords, the same order officer was already working: 55.00 Euro for 2!!️ minutes just to use the ordered parking space.
So, now I have received an invoice of about 100,00 euros just in time for Santa Claus for emptying and administrative costs. Apart from the time and hassle in finding a parking space, I paid at least 300.00 euros for a week in parking costs.
Pointed out to the official: We have a severely disabled traveler😩no mercy..
By the way, I had great experiences with other tourists (!) who were immediately helpful.
Oh yes, the prices for food and drinks are pretty, a baked fish roll 8.00 euros.
Warnemünde is nice, we had a great accommodation and the nicest landlords, but never Warnemünde again.......😡

Each small cm is chargeable and in private hands. No free parking space, no nothing without fees.
It's just to k .... !!!
Pure rip-off and not at all hospitable . Anyone who still vacations here and gets ripped off is to blame for themselves

Unfortunately "natural" beach. Everything you have to pay in the place, parking, restaurant, accommodation etc. totally performance ratio
Also we were used to Wi-Fi from other Baltic beaches, in Warnemünde false indication, even in the restaurants we visited no Wi-Fi.
Yes, it is still nice there, also the many incoming/departing ships impress.
But beach chair 15 euros per day, unkempt beach and often also very unfriendly vendors/waiters/servants often made the stay also a nuisance.
But for a longer family holiday, the price/performance ratio is absolutely no longer right.
Too bad, a lot of potential wasted.

We wanted to lie on the beach in Warnemünde and lay down in front of the beach chairs. We were chased away by the locals, this is our part. We also pay for it, they want our money but no one is allowed to lie there ever again.

Warnemünde and its beaches are definitely worth a visit at any time of year. Even at Easter and the big Easter bonfire. This year, the weather was dry and the weather was good.
We enjoy the climate and the sea - preferably with a freshly brewed glass of beer at Hoppen und Malt on Alexandrinenstrasse. We like to take a ride around the harbor with Captain Bras and stroll along the beach promenade.

We are passionate Baltic Sea lovers and leaving the port of Warnemünde was always one of the most beautiful for us. We wanted to spend New Year's Eve in Warnemünde. We strolled through the harbor mile, ate delicious fish sandwiches and walked towards the harbor exit.
An LNG terminal has now been set up at the level of the lighthouses.
The arriving ships are lined up in a never-ending line to be unloaded. They are total rust cutters. You just have to wait for the next accident to happen. When you see that, you no longer feel like walking on the beach.
We left Warnemünde that same afternoon.
Who is responsible for such a catastrophic desecration? We are absolutely disappointed and will not visit Warnemünde again.

Warnemünde is always worth a trip for me. Strolling along the old river, boat trip, the lighthouse and Teepott.
Beach, walking to the pier, watching cruise ships, feasting on fish sandwiches. There is just so much to do.

Overpriced restaurants with sometimes cheeky staff, overpriced run-down guesthouse rooms with arrogant operators, not much to see from the town itself in summer, tourists and cruise ships that bring tens of thousands of people to the town, not worth the money - my experiences June 2023

Warnemünde an sich gefällt uns immer noch sehr gut, aber die neuen Parkgebühren lassen uns annehmen, dass Touristen nicht mehr gewünscht sind: 3 Euro pro h, max. 1, 2 oder 3 h Parken möglich. keine Tagespauschalen. bei diesem System ist es nicht mehr möglich / bezahlbar: ein Restaurant zu besuchen, Shoppen zu gehen oder eine Ausflugsschifffahrt zu unternehmen. wir haben uns jetzt dazu entschlossen, dann lieber nach Kühlungsborn zu fahren und dort an der Seebrücke zu parken. pro Stunde günstiger und Tagespauschalen. so macht Urlaub noch einigermaßen Spass.

Ein sehr schöner Ort mit breiten, herrlichen Strand und schönem Flair. Leider haben sich die Preise in den letzten Jahren, insbesondere für Getränke, auf ein fast unverschämtes Niveau entwickelt. Wir werden nach vielen Besuchen nicht mehr wieder kommen und fühlten uns bei dem Preisniveau "über den Tisch gezogen" schade.

It's pretty easy to hire a beach cabana - by the hour of half day - but the water is pretty cold - it's The Baltic and is probably the coldest ocean you will ever swim in! Nice beach though and OK for a paddle.
