It is one of the best beaches in Andalucia. Clean and fine sand. With many services and attended by Red Cross and rescue workers.

This hotel,is fantastic.Starting with the reception, the incredible view from the entrance to the grounds. Finally a really big pool where you can really swim 😉 Whether room, reception, staff at the pool bar, while eating, everyone is very friendly and in a good mood.
In the evenings there are entertainment programs that were also very nice.
Since the only thing I have to criticize was the kitchen (in the main house) There was something for everyone, but the cheese buffet I found unimaginative, as there were only 4 varieties every night, always the same. Meat, pork, chicken, beef, lay too long on the hotplate and was therefore dry. In addition, it would have been nice to cut up the chickens properly (carving) instead of chopping them up. The eye eats with it. But I'm whining at a high level. Everyone finds something they like there. The dessert buffet was awesome. Fantastic, decorated cakes, Petit Four lovingly arranged.
The beach has some very nice beach “booths” You can walk forever without dying of thirst or starvation on the way:-) Waves sometimes violent, since you have to look at the color of the flags.... But the sea and the sandy beach a dream.

Spectacular beach. Very spacious and clean with excellent services, beautiful sunsets, certainly the best in Cadiz.

Chiclana is close to different beautiful sites to visit, besides the beaches.
La Barrosa is a great beach, although in August of course there are many people. Better than Sancti Petri, where there are more stones.

The wonderful sunset and super nice, the water is spectacular especially with yellow flag and very extensive beach.

We stayed at the Riu Chiclana Hotel from 19th to 22nd April which is short dustance from this beach. We walked from our Hotel along Calle Tiberio, which took us to Parque Periubano de la Barrosa, a public park along the back of part of this beach. We climbed down the steps from the Park down on to the beach which we walked along for a while.
It is a six kilometres stretch of golden sand along the coast washed by the waves of the sometimes temperamental Atlantic Ocean. At the northern end of the beach is Torre Bermeja with Torre Puerco at the southern end.
At the time of our visit the weather was rather blustery and chilly so only the brave or foolhardy ventured on to the beach. Additionally as it was early in the season only a handful of restaurants and bars open and a number were under construction.
Historically this area was the site of the Battle of Barrosa in 1811. A short walk away there is the Parque de la Battalla de 5 de Marzo de 1811.

Very large and well maintained beach. The only “but”, although understandable, is that in the areas near the hotels there are many people. Worth visiting.

Wide beach in every way, impossible to be overwhelmed, clear sand and dune areas, With its kilometer you can find options for everything from excursions to bars, walks, etc. Hotel complexes at a reasonable distance from the sand in the de novo Santi Petri area.

Hola! Voy a ir a la playa la Barrosa a pasar el dia y quisiera saber si hay vendedores ambulantes con bebidas etc por la playa como en otros lugares. No queremos ir cargados de casa para un dia. O si a pie de playa hubiera alguna tienda donde comprar. Gracias!

Pues claro en octubre tenemos temperaturas de hasta más de 25 grados. Aunque no estén todos los servicios. El ayuntamiento siempre deja zona de duchas y baños todo el año.
