Close to Malaga Marina, this park with lush vegetation is a welcome haven of peace after a few hours of visit. Many monuments and fountains to see, benches in the shade to rest and eat a walrus, entertainment with sometimes street singers. Sympa.

As we were staying close by for 10 nights we strolled through this park area most days during the day or at nighttime. Plenty to observe and to enjoy especially the flowers and vegetation, buildings and statues. The illuminated areas at night are excellent as well as the large fountain especially when it's lit up.

Forms the green connection between the old city center and the port of Malaga. Very bicycle and pedestrian friendly.

Thursday 18th April we walked along Paeso España we runs along side the Parque de Málaga in the Port area of the City
The gardens stretch for over six hundred and seventy metres (almost two thousand two hundred feet).
The Park is filled with a variety of trees, bushes shrubs and plants. The are a number of statues, dotted about the Park there are also oddities to see here as well. Two of which, that we spotted were the tribute to San Fiacre and the Cherub Wall Plaque (both reviewed separately).
There are plenty of benches for visitors to sit on and relax and enjoy the tranquility of the Park which is oniy disturbed by the screeching of the parakeets flying above.
A series of pathways crisscross the botanical gardens allowing visitors to explore from side to side and end to end. The leafy tress provide shade while walking through the Parque.

The city park of Malaga, located near the sea, was built shortly before 1900. It is a green lung in which there are also fountains and sculptures. Recommended for walking.

16:50 16 4 from the Malaga train station Maria Zambrano I started my bike trip to a natural area at the mouth of the Guadalhorce river, natural and a pleasure to pedal in that area Guadalmar de churriana sports facilities to play football, the king sport in Spain Torremolinos Benalmádena Costa the tourists with their things to go to the beach the splendid day and the Mediterranean Sea super beautiful it does not have to be August to enjoy the Costa del Sol Fuengirola similar return I am sitting construction a beautiful little square and a park where there is no shortage of green The vegetation, the trees already grown, something to be appreciated because it gives good total shade, a small lung in the charming Malaga, have a good time

Very nice green place for relax. A big variety of trees and flowers. A lot of benches and people passing. Free! Good connection to the castle and local restaurants.

Are there a lot of bugs there? And are there a lot of people that go there?

I agree with the previous remarks, we just returned from Spain and we saw no bugs at all. However, being that the park is full of various types of vegetation, there are undoubtedly bugs there. It is a very nice park, heavily shaded, we saw a few people walking but it definitely was not crowded.

Given the proximity to the Playa de Malagueta, you can run down the park, which is essentially a straight line for about a half mile or so, then cross the street and run to the Playa and run along there. It's a nice view, too.

Is this park far from Alcazaba and the castle of Gibralfaro? (is it a walk-able distance?) As i plan to visit Alcazaba and the castle of Gibralfaro when i visit spain in October and thought it would be a nice place to stroll by.

yes it is within easy walking distance and from there you can walk down to the marine or into the centre, plenty of bars as well along the way to stop and people watch or grab some tapas

The park is not all that big and it is all public space, so no charge.
It is probably no more than 3 or 4 miles from the airport. To be honest, I wouldn't make a special trip to see it but if you are walking round Malaga, it is pleasant to stroll through it on the way to the marina.
