Beautiful church. Lovely meaningful mass. Friendly congregation. We go here every time we visit Torremolinos. Will be back next year.

Visited with family as family before us had visited and it was special to them. We paid our respects by putting coins in the boxes and electronic candles lighting up. The church is clean although I did visit twice within the last week and there was a man sat outside both times with a tin for change.

Very nice church. To see. It is possible to use an elevator to access the city instead of climbing the steps.

This Church stands in a small Plaza in the centre of Torremolinos. Named the Church of San Miguel, it is also known as Saint Michael the Archangel.
It is located in the plaza of the Holy Archangels, which we visited during our walkabout in Torremolinos on Wednesday 17th April.
This is the oldest Catholic Church in the Town, which was built in 1718 and was extensively renovated in 1896.
From the exterior it is a rather modest building, with a large arched wooden door entrance, two smaller doors are with the larger one. On either side of the entrance there is a belfry each containing a single bell.
We climbed the steps up into the Plaza and made our way into the Church. On entering the Church, a tiled aisleway, flanked on both sides by simple wooden benches, leads up to the main altar. The raised ceiling above the aisle is clad in wooden panels.
The main altar consists of a small altar table covered with a patterned cloth with a small praying stool in front of it. Behind the altar there are a number of statues standing on ornate golden plinths. The central staute stands on it's plinth surrounded by ornate golden carvings. We assumed that this was an image of San Miguel. The statues are surrounded by intricate plasterwork.
The main altar is flanked on either side by a smaller one. The left hand side one has a statue of the Virgin Mary while the other has a painting of the last supper.
Although the altar area has signs of opulence and grandeur the rest of the Church retains a simplicity. Around the white painted walls are paintings depicting the Stations of the Cross.
A delightful and tranquil Church which we enjoyed walking around and sitting for a few moments on one of the benches with just our thoughts and memories.
Saint Michael is the Patron Saint of Torremolinos and the Feast Day is celebrated at the end of September.

These are one of the seven temples of Catholic worship in the city of Torremolinos. The Church of San Miguel is the oldest, it was built in 1718 in neoclassical style and extensively renovated in 1896. It is located in the Plaza de los Santos Arcángeles. Its facade is completely white.

Está abierta al público en horario muy amplio y se puede tanto acudir a los oficios o como espacio de rezo y reflexión. Imágenes muy bonitas.

Modest but charming church. A truly quaint little church in the old town centre and apparently dedicated to Torremolinos's patron saint, St Michael Archangel. Inside the building you can see the beautiful altar and bask in the atmosphere. Loved the stop off.

Staying near by in June. Is this now open? If so is there an entry charge? Are there toilets on site?

It is still a 'work in progress' but may be finished by June. They are extensively remodelling the church - sorry I don't know if they will have toilets, but I am guessing they will as they have a big congregation - it is a popular church

I would like to see it is it far from montmar buesnsol do you walk round the passoe whould it be easier to get a taxi thankyou we walked the passoe in November couldn't find it

We stayed at Pez Espada Hotel, go out the back onto the promenade and go to the left, stay inside between the stores on both sides not on the ocean side and it will be on your left.
