Thought this was better than the cathedral. A real gem nearby that I believe yiu get with a cathedral ticket. Not as many come here but should. It's very picturesque

It is a great temple that should be visited at any time of the year but I think the best date is Easter. The reason is that this church is home to two Top-rated steps in the entire city:
a) the Christ of Love of Juan de Mesa
b) Jesus of the Martinez Montañés Passion
I liked the second one a lot more.
The great advantage is that the whole interior is occupied at Easter by different steps that make the visit more spectacular, unique and different.
In conclusion, it is Sevillian art in its purest form.

Wandering around this area of this most beautiful of Spanish city's my twin brother and I chanced upon Iglesia Colegial Del Divino Salvador and what a great find.
Iglesia Colegial Del Divino Salvador ( Church Of The Divine Saviour ) was actually constructed on the site of firstly a basilica and then laterly a mosque, in fact the bell tower of this church incorporates the minerat of the mosque, built between 1674-1716 from designs from architect Leonardo De Figueror ,its a great example of Baroque style architecture, externally and internally it's a beautiful church and is in fact after Cathedral De Sevilla the biggest church in Seville,located on Plaza Del Salvador, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Seville.

One of the churches you must visit if you are staying in Seville. Admission is in combination with the Seville Cathedral Ticket. The interior is richly decorated, especially the altarpiece that fills the apse.
There are also stairs leading to a lower level, where you can see the old foundations.

This church is located behind the cathedral, a few minutes walk away. It was built between 1674-1712 in Baroque style on the foundations of several earlier churches. The bell tower was formerly a minaret. We bought a combined ticket, but they didn't ask for it, we could get in for free on Sunday. The interior is very beautiful, richly decorated, gilded and silvered. It is quieter and more peaceful, not as crowded as the cathedral.

You can visit two amazing Churches with the same ticket - the Gothic Seville Cathedral and this Baroque Salvador Church. Likewise, this was also a Mosque converted after the Reconquesta into a Church. Amazing Baroque interiors with a highly decorated altar and many side Chapels.
The Church is packed on a tiny square, so you don't anticipate its size until you enter it.

Beautiful Baroque artwork fill this small church. Completed in 1712 it was then closed in 2003 for a 5 year restoration project. Opulent artwork everywhere.
The vault on the lower level provides some fascinating insight into the history of Seville.
The church was included with the Catedral ticket otherwise it is €7.

This church was built on the remains of the Ibn Adabbas mosque, an exquisite example of Baroque architecture. Immediately upon entering, we were struck by the large interior space, dominated by a spectacular high altar, richly decorated with gold and intricate sculptures narrating biblical stories and patron saints. The vaults and domes are frescoed with lively religious scenes that catch the eye and invite reflection. Each side chapel, dedicated to different saints, is a work of art in its own right, with paintings and sculptures that deserve careful observation. There are still elements of the previous structure, such as the ablution patio. The crypt is located below the main level of the church, and is a burial place for important religious figures and nobles of the city. It is accessible through a modest staircase, which leads visitors into a surprisingly intimate space rich in history. The crypt is characterized by low vaults and a meditative atmosphere, with walls adorned with niches containing tombs and funeral monuments.
Some areas display intricate marble works and religious sculptures paying tribute to the deceased.
In addition to its role as a burial place, the crypt of San Salvador is an important archaeological site that tells the multi-layered history of Seville. Remains and foundations dating from the era of the previous Almohad mosque are visible.

A few blocks from the cathedral, the entrance to this baroque church is included with the entrance fee. High in height, it surprises with its altarpieces and chapels, too ornate for my taste.

We booked the tickets of the Cathedral on Dec.29, and noticed that the tickets also allow us the access to Iglesia del Salvador. Due to our schedule, we plan to go to the Iglesia del Salvador on Dec.28. Is it possible? Or are the tickets only available for the same day?

If you buy the combined ticket then yes! If you buy the ticket from Del Salvador then you can also skip the line at the cathedral which is great. You use the same entrance as individuals buying a ticket but can go directly to the entrance. Definitely do the cathedral second so that you can take advantage of this line skipping! Enjoy!
