“Good Introduction to the Basque Country ”

如果您对巴斯克的历史或文化不了解（如我所不知道的话），那么这是一个不错的起点。博物馆有很多展品，有些会让您感兴趣，而有些则不会。我个人认为博物馆的顶层是迄今为止最好的。其中包括毕尔巴鄂领事馆提供的信息和文物。

“A Rather Special Small Museum”

我对巴斯克的历史了解不多，这真是大开眼界。中央庭院里的拟人化石头绝对是亮点，但我也喜欢其他各种展品和手工艺品。我非常感谢毕尔巴鄂及周边地区的地形图，这有助于我更好地从视觉上了解这片土地。

Mostly closed for next 2 years

The great majority of this museum will be closed for the next two years. The stonework in the courtyard is fine, but probably not worth a visit with so many other things to see in Bilbao.

Small and nice

To be fair only a part was open when we were there, but then - it was free (a small donation is appreciated).

We just looked at the giant dolls and left again. I would have loved to see them in the city...

Disappointment

I echo other insightful recent reviews. I was excited to learn about Basque history, especially 20th century history. I left empty. Cultural exhibits are the only window presented to understand Basque Country. I’d have really loved to have known what I was looking at, but with no English anywhere, using a translation tool every time makes me dizzy. No numbers on exhibits or captions so I’m guessing even with paper translation this would be onerous to follow. My takeaway is they're a proud people, proud of their way of life. I just wish they made that story more accessible to foreigners so we could celebrate along with them.

Land of the Giants

I had visited the museum before and on this occasion I just wanted to take pictures of the "Giants" They can be seen in processions during fiesta's
As far as the museum is concerned, in order to get a real taste of the Basque Region, the museum is a must

Underwhelming

I was really looking forward to this, but was disappointed. Not much in English which is fair enough, but with Covid there were no audio guides available, which made it rather challenging.
Whilst Fishing and Sheep farming are doubtless interesting, I would have thought that the rich political history would have at least had a mention. Nothing on the resistance to Franco or the Civil War - evidently I was in the wrong place.

Museo etnográfico ubicado en el casco viejo de la ciudad. Imprescindible si te gusta conocer la historia de una comunidad o una zona en concreto, está bien explicado, aunque necesitaría algún retoque, ya que algunas de las cartelas identificativas de los objetos, se notan gastadas.
En cuanto al precio, es muy asequible y cuenta con diversos descuentos.

Disappointing

I’m surprised by the reviews that say they learned something about the Basques. I didn’t and was interested. The museum’s ground floor, former cloisters, is stunning. There is a floor of ceramics, and the museum reproduced the old consulate. I wanted to learn about the history of the people and their language. Instead, I read about fishing and sheep herding, very similar to other peoples (Azores, New England, etc), but other peoples did not retain a distinct language with no relation to the Romance languages. In short, I wanted to learn more about the uniqueness of the Basques, and was disappointed.

Good Introduction to the Basque Country

If you don’t know much about Basque history or culture (as I didn’t) then this is a good place to start. The museum includes quite a range of exhibits, some will interest you and others will not. Personally I thought that the top floor of the museum was by far the best. This includes information and artefacts from the consulate of Bilbao.
