A very nice museum in an old Canarian house with mostly modern works by Canarian artists. The works of art are related to the former function of the rooms. They encourage closer inspection and discussion. It's worth a visit!

Wonderful collection and very summarized in the different stages. Canarian art with capital letters. You visit the museum, then have a drink at the Cafeteria on the first floor and good art at affordable prices. I will recommend to everyone.

This is an amazing art gallery featuring mostly artists from the Canary Islands. We had a tour of each of the rooms of the former grand house featuring art pieces relevant to the room: bedrooms, kitchen, stables, chapel. Excellent visit. Recommended.

It was a great and pleasant suprise to find this museum in the historic center of San Cristobal de La Laguna. Thanks to an individual tour through the exhibition we experienced a perfect combination of this wonderful reconstructed building with interesting contemporary art added by some historic paintings. Worth to be more in the focus.

I am so happy to find this pearl in La Laguna. The collection of paintings is really impressive. I have never seen Canary Island’s art works before. Bonuses - museum is in a very beautiful old building, so I got a chance to see it from inside and there is a small cafe with excellent food!

This is an excellent collection of Spanish/Canarian art that is especially meaningful and emotionally resonant because it represents the personal acquisitions of Luz Marina Lorenzo, the art-loving wife of a wealthy entrepreneur who also believes that the rich repository she has amassed over the years symbolises a kind of cultural largesse that should be shared with the public. Hence Mrs Lorenzo has bought and refurbished a traditional Canarian townhouse at her own expense to house this collection. The clever concept of the curation and presentation deserves special mention : the works of art are assigned to rooms of the house aligned to their subjects, such as paintings of floral or botanical interests are displayed in the garden room while paintings associated with food or with culinary conceits are installed in the kitchen. Feminist art is playfully accommodated in the bedrooms, betokening a particular predilection of the owner. All the leading lights of the Spanish art world can be found here, from Oscar Dominguez to Pedro Gonzalez to Nestor to Cristino de Vera. A visit will be rendered doubly pleasurable if guided by the affable Azucena Toledo, who will pepper her commentary with interesting nuggets of insight. Notwithstanding that the collection is predominantly contemporary, there is enough range, variety and stylistic praxis to tease and tantalise every palate.

Me encantó la visita, la recomiendo. Además, el espacio es encantador y muy acogedor para disfrutar de las obras de arte expuestas. El personal es muy atento, amable y resuelve todas tus preguntas o curiosidades sobre la exposición.
