What a magical evening we had with Maria, our tour guide. My husband and I are our two college age charges went on this tour during our brief visit to Barcelona. We had a similar tour while in Madrid so we are able to contrast the two. The group definitely decided that the tapas we had in Barcelona were their favorite, particularly the last stop. We learned history and drank different beverages and unique tapas along the way. Maria was delightful and so knowledgeable. She taught us so much. And even better, she sent us an extremely detailed PDF of all of the unique spots in Barcelona. I would highly highly recommend this tour. It was fantastic. Love love this tour. I have already recommended it to many of my friends who will be visiting Barcelona in the next several months.

We had an amazing evening on the Tapas Tour. Maria was our guide and she was friendly, knowledgeable, knew how to lead a group and the others in our group were also fun and enjoyable to be with.
We really loved hearing about the variety of foods that are prepared and cooked for celebrations and holidays in Spain and we certainly enjoyed eating the food that we got in the three tapas bars that we visited. There was a variety of dishes and drinks, all different and all mouthwatering. We also loved the walk around the Gothic quarter hearing some of the historical info of the area. It was a really lovely evening, so thanks Maria, we went to places that we would never have found on our own!

A fantastic tour! My husband I love food, I read wonderful reviews about tours with The Barcelona Taste and signed us up before we departed for the city. We did the Gothic Quarter tour with Tito, who was charming, knowledgeable, and a great conversationalist. It was fun to learn about him, his experience growing up in Barca, and of course, about the food we were eating. We were stuffed by the end, these folks do not skimp on ordering! We visited 3 (maybe 4?) different eateries, and enjoyed a lovely assortment of traditional and a little off-the-beaten-path items. Know that the Gothic Tour leans toward a more traditional tapas experience overall, and that there are other tours that are less traditional - just ask before you book. We wanted to do the Gothic Quarter b/c it was close to our hotel and it's gorgeous at night.
Also, I have celiac disease and would like to thank Lorea for emailing with me before I signed up re how this might be handled - for anyone else with this issue - the short answer is that they'll order naturally GF tapas on the tour, but they can't, of course, guarantee no cross contamination - so that's up to you. I risked it, I was 100% fine, and I had SUCH a good time. Highly recommend these folks - in fact, a friend of mine has already booked with them for an upcoming trip! Que aprofiti!

The whole tour was wonderful. Maria, our guide, was warm, personable and knowledgeable. It was fun to visit different styles of restaurants, from casual to trendy. And, we had delicious tapas and drinks at each one. We enjoyed learning more about regional and Barcelona foods. I highly recommend this tour!

We had an excellent time with Tito! He was friendly and full of interesting tidbits about the food, the quarter, and Catalan history. We went to three different restaurants and felt like it was the perfect combination of food and walking. I would highly recommend!

I loved the ambiance of the tour. We were 8 people, including the tour guide, and we went to three different restaurants. Each restaurant was unique, with plenty of wine and fun conversation. The places were not too crowded and our tour guide (Tito) was fun and informative. It was a very pleasant evening, with no pressures, and wonderful food. I would definitely do this again.

We stopped at four places, all in different parts of the Gothic Quarter. the first was wine and cheeses. The next two each had a variety of shared small plates, all variety of bite sized foods. I cannot recall them all, except to say there was plenty of choices and by the time the evening ended it was easy to have made a great meal and to ignore anything you didn't want. Different breads, vegetables, meats and seafood. Water was always available. More samples of wine and also the local favorite vermut. Finished with desserts. Lots of great choices and Barcelona's most interesting neighborhood.
Where do you meet and where does tour end? If this is your first time to Barcelona and not familiar with metro does guide give directions on how to get back to your hotel?
