Had an amazing evening with Allison, the whole family ( Five of us) voted the food tour the highlight of the holiday. So much so we recreated the evening the next day by re-visiting some of the restaurants! Thank you Allison!

Esther was a fabulous hostess and we had a wonderful time on the tour! She put everyone at ease and we were all laughing and telling stories, in addition to learning so much about the Gothic Quarter. And the food and drink were superb!

We had the best time tasting the delicious traditional food and drink of Barcelona. Our guide Maria was so fun and knowledgeable about all the food. She also shared much information on Catalonian traditions that were fascinating. She was a great conversationalist tool We had so much fun that we wanted to bring Maria home with us. I highly recommend this tour!

Maribel was so knowledgeable about the food, drink, culture, and history of the area! We tried all kinds of things (some of the expected, but mostly the unexpected--and it was all delicious, something for everyone.) We had an absolutely wonderful time both during the tour and after (Maribel sent along a list of suggestions for all kinds of experiences/restaurants in Barcelona--we had an incredible final meal in the city thanks to that list she sent along!)

My wife and I and our two adult daughters had a wonderful time going to three outstanding restaurants on this tapas tour. Food and drink were excellent and Maria was a delightful hostess and tour guide. We enjoyed the conversation as much as the food and drink! My only regret is that we did this tour on our last day in Barcelona since Maria also had many recommendations of local establishments to impart to us. Highly recommend!

Our host was the lovely Esther who is the Spanish version of Carrie Bradshaw with her adorable and colorful style. Our tour included my 11- and 14-year-old boys who loved Esther (a former teacher) from the start.
My 11-year-old foodie ate EVERYTHING, and my teenager was brave and admittedly ate more meats than fish. Be sure to communicate with the tour ahead of time that your part includes children and ask for Esther!
Each restaurant was not only delicious but also historical, quirky in a good way and a favorite among the locals (so you felt like you were in on the secret). Everyone knows Esther and are quick to accommodate her guests. We walked through beautiful streets of Eixample neighborhood, and she pointed about unique and historical points along the way.
I would 100% take this walking food tour again (and take Esther up on the The Chef's Kitchen option she recommended). Can't wait to return to Barcelona now that we have so many great food recommendations from Esther!

Esther was a fantastic guide. She explained the history of the Poble Sec neighborhood and arranged delicious tapas at three different locations. She also explained details about all of the food and shared in some local customs. Food was delicious and I had a great time with Esther!

The tapas were tasty and the tour was fun. We only visited 3 places and on previous tours elsewhere we’ve visited 5. I think more places would have been nicer. Also previous tours elsewhere we were given a lot more information while walking from place to place. I usually like to start a trip in a new place with a food tour because we usually get so much info and I didn’t feel that way this time. The other family with us felt the same way. But overall good tour.

Thanks Mimi, it was lovely to meet you Aaron and Layna! I’m pleased you enjoyed the tour. Our Gothic Quarter tour is designed to be the highest possible quality, and as relaxed as it can be - so we have always curated it to feature three top restaurants all within a short stroll of one another. We aren’t into dashing from place to place for small bites; that doesn’t feel as relaxed or allow for the enriching conversations we also have whilst sitting and dining together. The Gothic Quarter also increasingly has more and more tourist trap restaurants that unfortunately would never meet our quality standards. I hope this context helps, and again it was lovely to have you join the tour - have a wonderful rest of your travels!!

We stopped at four places, all in different parts of the Gothic Quarter. the first was wine and cheeses. The next two each had a variety of shared small plates, all variety of bite sized foods. I cannot recall them all, except to say there was plenty of choices and by the time the evening ended it was easy to have made a great meal and to ignore anything you didn't want. Different breads, vegetables, meats and seafood. Water was always available. More samples of wine and also the local favorite vermut. Finished with desserts. Lots of great choices and Barcelona's most interesting neighborhood.
