Excellent ride in the cable car for the views it has. I highly recommend taking it on Mount Miramar Avenue to the Port. The views are amazing. Highly recommended!!

The structure is a little rusty however the trip is very interesting and beautiful the destination is Montjuic where there is a beautiful view.

Very expensive price 12€ per person for one way
Same child-adult rate
Duration: only 10 min
Advantage: direct arrival to the beach
Be careful because several cable cars depending on the destination - does not go to Castel...

Seems like an old construction.
I believe it's better than the montjuic cable and it has interesting views to hotel w and the beach.
The 12.5€ one way, it's a bit expensive, just a bit.
I think it's the best route to start after the montjuic visit, going down to Barceloneta, see the view. Just a bit hard to find the starting point which is close to a 150 bus station.

We booked our tickets for the cable car online as we saw there could be long queues to buy tickets on the day. The tickets cost 40 euros for two adults for a round trip.We arrived at the bottom of the tower and there was no defined queue for pre booked tickets so had to ask a member of staff, he hoarded us into a separate pen then a very loud lady moved us to the end of the people already queuing for the lift ( we were aware that buying the ticket online doesn’t get you immediately into the lift) we had to wait 25 mins to get the lift up to the cable car then another 10 minutes or so to wait for the car. They do cram as many people possible into the car but luckily we were by the open window. The whole trip takes 10 mins with great views over the harbour and Barcelona. We got off at the other end and had a drink in the cafe admiring the views. We then queued for 10 minutes to get the car back again. I wouldn’t say this was a must do activity but the views were good. Staff manning the cable car were uninterested and not engaging with passengers.

The experience is pleasant but tarnished by catastrophic organization. No differentiated lines between people with or without tickets and unfriendly staff. Damage !

Queues are horrendous. We waited an hour and a half on the way to Montjuic and an hour on the way back. What a waste of a day in Barcelona. We visited in March 2024. The cable car can only take 16 people once per 10 minutes. For some reason we were wrongly under the illusion that the cable car was the only way to visit the hill - but you can very easily get public transport, taxi or even walk from centre of town. Also this cable car does not take you to the top - there is another cable car with a very similar name! When I complained about the wait time to a member of staff, he simply shrugged. They need a better system to manage the volume of tourists.

From the port area it leads up the hill, passing over a large part of the city. Beautiful view, we recommend taking it at least once. It costs 12.50 one way for adults (8 year old child did not pay). On your way back, use public transport included in the urban pass.

Not worth the price (12€50), however it’s seems to be the best cable car in order to go to Montjuic.

This attraction - which was built for the 1929 World Exhibition, is supported in the middle by the 107-meter-high Torre Jaume I and should not be confused with the other two cable cars, Teleferic Montjuïc and Funicular Montjuïc - still dominates the skyline and thus the cityscape of Barcelona.
For 12.50 euros per person, you can go from Montjuïc down to the harbor - a truly lasting experience in good weather.

Hola! Puedes comprar un solo trayecto, desde el muelle hasta montjuic. Para llegar a la fuente tienes que andar unos 10 o 15 minutos

Las vistas son iguales a mediados de diciembre que en setiembre? Pregunto porque como no es barato y en diciembre suele haber mucha bruma todo el dia, no quisiera tirar el dinero

No es un sitio relevante por sus vistas en ningún mes del año, puesto que simplemente pasa por encima del puerto, no te lo aconsejaría, en Barcelona hay muchas más cosas donde invertir lo que vale el tiquet del teleférico.

El del puerto es el que cruza todo el puerto hasta el Montjuit. Y tiene toda la vista aerea de la ciudad. Despues ya en el monteen el Montjuit esta el telesferico que sube hasta el fuerte en la cima del monte. Para mi el mejor es el del puerto

Beg your pardon... My wife, son and I plan to visit Barcelona next week and I was keen on the whole Mont Juic thing. I was planning to arrive to Espanya Square and from that point, begin our self-guided tour to the Magic Fountain, Fine Arts Museum (just passing by), Miro Museum (intending to enter) and catch the cable car from the station to Barceloneta. Is it possible to buy there just one way ticket? Recall price? Is it interesting to climb even further to the Castle? I suppose the views are even greater, buy the Castle itself doesn’t seem to be that attractive (specially compared to those in typical Spanish fortresses in Colombia, Cuba and Dominican Republic, which we have previously visited)

Can you get the cable car one way from the hotel to the port?
Planning a route but would be aiming to get on at the hotel and go one way to the port so we can then tour the city.

It appears there are 2 teleferics in Barcelona: Teleferic de Montjuic and Teleferico del Porto. Can you explain the difference and where they each travel to?

Tele del Porto runs from the port area by the beach up to Miramar hill. The views of the City are breath taking and this is well worth doing. At the top there is not much to do but there is a very nice pedestrian area to walk around and enjoy the views. There is also a very posh hotel and an expensive restaurant! I would say this is a "must do" in Barcelona. Nice toilets at the top by the way.
Tele de Montjuic is a totally different lift system. It runs from Montjuic park up to the old fort at the top of Montjuic hill. You can get to the bottom of this lift via a "funicular" from Metro Parallel. It is more of a ski lift system really but does the job. The fort at the top is quite interesting and has some enormous guns to see. Admission is free on Sundays (as with most museums in Barcelona)

You can't buy on line unless part of a package deal from someone else. And they only take cash. No cards.
