Very old school wood panelled cocktail bar with a great range of drinks served by barmen in tuxedos. In particular I thoroughly recommend the 1786 Milk Punch which is one of the best, if not the best, cocktails I've ever had.

Visited this cocktail bar as close to hotel but greeted with a rude waiter saying I didn’t meet the dress code due to wearing flip flops with a cocktail dress,the dress was okay but flip flops were a no.My partner was dressed in shirt and smart jeans with shoes so we explained the flip flops were actually due to a fractured heel bone and he swayed the dress code but no apology.
We found this a strange dress code after looking around at other customers to see scruffy jeans and tatty trainers.
So we only stayed for one and the most amazing thing about the cocktails was the large lump of ice….

Needless to say they have the best cocktails in Barcelona and the atmosphere is simply amazing. You simply feel like in a 1920’ bar. It was so special, right in the heart of Barcelona. I can’t wait to back there someday. And the bartender was on fire and very friendly

Delicious cocktails drunk! Inside it is big and beautiful ..a club atmosphere with a DJ. In the basement you can chill on lovely lounge chairs.

My husband and I stopped here for an after dinner cocktail. This tiny bar can get very crowded--it's just a hole in the wall and a peak into a different era. The cocktails however are exceptional. We both chose something from the menu and were delighted with the result. There were plenty of friends chatting and enjoying themselves over drinks, so it was a wonderful atmosphere to sip and people watch.
We would definitely stop again for a drink!

I don’t recommend, very snobby waiters n services, bad services and not much of choices but cocktails only! No internet!

Regular at Boadas when I go to BCN. Really, things have changed and not for the better. Although it's not a disaster either!!! They should look back and not lose their essence.
The cava cocktail, so bitter that it offends (it's my opinion and my taste). Although the staff is friendly, but… there is a lack of “I don't know what” that makes you long for past times

We stopped in for an after dinner cocktail and immediately enjoyed the aesthetic and vibe here. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. They are a true craft cocktail bar with some very highly trained bartenders, who make some fantastic, historic cocktails.
They use top notch ingredients to hand make each drink and the flavors are stunning! Check them out sometime, but keep in mind that they are very small inside and can only seat about 12 people at a time.

Boadas should close. What is currently served there is an insult and an outrage to this emblematic establishment in Barcelona. Cocktails almost from a jug, at prohibitive prices, presented in a crude way, with ice cubes from the €1 bag at the gas station... Outdated, ordinary and uncomfortable atmosphere... I will NEVER go again and I recommend that you do the same. SCAM!

There is no menu at all. You either tell them which cocktail you would like from the classics (mojoto/margharita etc); or you tell them your preferences (which spirit you like, whether you like sweet or sour, long or short etc) and they create something amazing to your taste.

You won't get a cocktail class of the sort you're thinking of in Boadas. It's a proper old school bar and has changed very little over the years. No drinks menus, no food, just incredibly knowledgeable bar staff, (even if they do appear grumpy at times!) A place to order some proper cocktails, as they should be made. Ask for something obscure and watch them rise to the occasion.
