Came here to occupy my toddler as so hard to find somewhere where is enclosed & safe for him to wander around! He loved it! He wanted to get into the balls where the digger was.. Would be fab to have a soft play area in there with a ball pit. Even if there was a small charge for it. Would fit in there perfectly. Great area for older kids to hang out, out of the sun! Will come back when he's older for the skating, cinema ect.

Having spent the last 6 years visiting Gibraltar last year we found the leisure centre ! It is not well advertised and yet is an excellent facility.
Ice skating : every time we have been it's been empty or no more than 2 others there. £6.50 for an adult and child including skate hire !
Bowling : lots of lanes, not actually tried it out but looked brilliant !
Cinema : two screens showing up to date films like in the U.K.! Going tomorrow so watch this space so to speak.
Restaurant / bar : reasonably priced drink and food. Haven't tried it but looked delicious from what we saw!
Well worth a rainy (or sunny) day visit !!
Good for all ages, also an amusement arcade, toilets on each floor and free wifi 😜

Une forteresse militaire qui était autrefois utilisé pour défendre Gibraltar contre les envahisseurs au cours du 18ème siècle,
ce bâtiment a été transformé en 2008, pour vous divertir ,une patinoire de glace , deux cinémas , Bowling , des restaurants et bars et un Gym Fitness .etc...

This place is a must visit, If only for the setting. The Bowling alley is reasonably priced, great atmosphere, brilliant place to chill, relax, play arcade games, have an ice-cream, a drink or something to eat. Plus when its very hot outside, its actually quite cool inside. Apprently, its open until 11pm most nights. Its a must visit for kids of all ages. It has so much to offer that you can come back again and again.

I came across the Leisure Centre by accident whilst walking through the Commonwealth Gardens.
Lovely bowling alley with great Arcade games. Set in a very unique building.

Found this leisure centre purely by chance.
Ended up going Ice Skating - twice !!
£2 child, £3 adults, incl. skates for an hour. We were the only ones on the ice most of the time, it was fantastic !! The staff were really helpful - offering skating aids and helmet for our son who spent probably the first 20 mins on his bottom !! To be honest we could have stayed for hours and they would have let us, they were so nice !
Absolute bargain, if you get chance, give it a go :-)
Also within the leisure centre is a cinema showing latest films, a restaurant, kids play area, bowing and a bar !

We saw Jurrassic Park 4 in 3D and paid £10 each for tickets. Very reasonable. Seats were comfortable and the auditorium was steeper than usual so seeing 'through' the person in front wasn't an issue. The line for tickets and popcorn is separate though there are no signs telling you this. They also only take cash (again, no signs). There is also a bowling alley, ice rink on site. Really great cinema experience.

King´s Bastion originalmente era una fortaleza desde la cual se defendía el puerto de Gibraltar, pasando por otras funciones, en el siglo XX hizo las veces de fábrica y actualmente es un centro comercial con cine, pista de hielo, entretenimientos, un gimnasio y un boliche. Lo más llamativo del lugar son los cañones gigantes remanentes de sus épocas de torre defensiva, que debido a su peso no pudieron ser trasladados y forman parte del actual decorado del boliche.

You can do many things at the Gibraltar Leisure Centre. During the day you can take a yoga class, during the daytime or evening go to the fantastic bowling alley or go to the cinema in the evening. There are also amusements and places to have a drink and eat.

I have lived in gib for a couple of years and passes the cinema complex many times,I actually went in the other evening and was delighted. The cost for a new woody Allen film was five pounds for a very comfortable seat in a spacious air con cinema with great visibility
Spoiled only by the late arrival of about a dozen ladies of a certain age, who talked throughout the film.
Maybe I was unlucky, but I hope to go again hopefully on a night when they have gone to the disco.
