A wine experience unlike any other!

David made our stay in Logrono unforgettable! He went above and beyond to ensure our itinerary engaged both my husband and I, as well as our two teens. We were able to experience the real La Rioja region in a way we never could if we were doing it on our own. Spending time with Francisco at his winery was a once in a lifetime opportunity that we will never forget. Definitely a highlight of our trip! Thank you David!!

Best wine tour ever!

David is a fantastic wine tour guide! His tour includes the history and culture of the area and visits to small towns. His knowledge of the Bodegas and their owners leads to boutique wineries with special treatment for guests like wine barrel tastings, vertical tastings, and individualized tours ( by English speaking guides sometimes!). David is also bilingual so could interpret for us when needed. We also got to go to a wonderful local restaurant for lunch. And, he provided tips on the best bars and sites in Logroño. We highly recommend Love Rioja!

Hemos pasado solo 2dias pero vaya días.
Queremos darte las gracias David por tu amor hacia tu tierra que nos transmitiste, enseñaste y diste de probar.
Tu pasión nos hizo disfrutar de cada copa de vino riojano, cada champiñon o trocito de pimiento.
Hemos probado cosas nuevas, hemos podido visitar la bodega López de Heredia (única en su especie), Taberna Herrerias es una visita obligada (coged el ascensor) y un largo etc. de experiencias y sensaciones que nos hemos llevado
Muchas Gracias David, esperamos volver a verte.
Un abrazo de Colombia y beso de Eslovaquia.

A wonderful highlight of a beautiful area

David has a wonderful vibe. From the moment we started communication to when he dropped us off at our hotel at the conclusion of the tour, his communication was perfect. He made the booking process as easy as possible and promised to help in any way he could along the way.

The tour itself was easily a highlight of our first trip to beautiful Spain. David picked us up exactly as scheduled from out hotel in Bilbao. David is not just any tour guide; he combines professionalism with an obvious passion for Spain, food, culture, and, of course, sublime Rioja wine. Within minutes he felt more like a friend than a guide. He is supremely knowledgeable about the region, its wine, its history, and its culture. We felt very fortunate to have shared this experience with someone with roots in the area.

David introduced us not only to great wineries but also excellent food and an appreciation for the natural features that contribute to the wine region. A special treat was meeting several people David knows; everyone treated us a guest and provided the utmost hospitality.

We went on this tour shortly before the COVID-19 crisis hit. We sincerely hope David and everyone else we met remains healthy and we wish a speedy recovery to tourism in the area.

For an amazing day in La Rioja, Love Rioja with David is the best.

This review is way overdue. We have just completed our third trip to La Rioja in as many years and each time we have relied on Love Rioja and David to guide us around the wineries with excellent results. Each tour has been unique, while revisiting a family favorite. David has taken excellent care of us. He loves La Rioja and it shows. He knows everyone and is able to take you to the best places. He has excellent knowledge of wine and the region. He will customize the tour to make sure that all of your expectations are met. I cannot recommend his services enough. You will not be disappointed.

La Rioja wine tour with David

My partner and I visited Logroño in January 2020 and at late notice decided to do a wine tour. We are glad we did and particuarly glad we had David to guide us.

David took us to three excellent bodegas and also gave a very detailed and interesting explanation of the region, it's wine producing history and the climate that makes the area perfect for producing wine.

At each bodega we tried a number of wines with very generous amounts to try, had snacks such as bread and olive oil and olives to go with the wines.

We also had an excellent lunch that was able to cater to us being vegetarian.

David's warmth, knowledge and passion for wine and this part of Spain made the tour perfect!

AMAZING day in Rioja!

This was an excellent day spent in Rioja!! Not only did David set up an incredible day for us, but he also made sure that the priority was that we were enjoying ourselves. David is extremely knowledgeable about wine and the overall area. While this is a wine tour we really felt the authenticity of David's feelings of this area come to life throughout the day. The wine, the food, the views, etc. were all elements that day the day such a memorable one. When we return to Rioja we will be booking another tour with Love Rioja! Gracias, David!

If you want to really get to know the Rioja, David is the guide for you. He's from the area and his knowledge of the wine, the wineries and the villages is amazing. And best of all, he is so flexible. The tour was designed around our location, our availability and our interests. This is not a "canned presentation" but rather a personalized adventure!

Amazing Tour of Rioja!

David from Love Rioja was amazing! Having been on many wine tours in Napa, Willamette Valley etc. you wonder how much more you can learn or should we just hit some places up on our home, but David took it to another level. Everyone in Rioja seems to know him, he gets you into places you wouldn't be able to on your own and helped pick some awesome bottles to bring home. Lunch was awesome as well. We will be recommending him to all our friends and family. Thanks David!

This was our second tour with David. So glad we came back. The man is passionate about wine and it really shows. He's so energetic and so informative. We were able to dig a bit deeper into our understanding of Rioja wine. We love the region and continue to love learning through David. Thank you!
