This was a fantastic experience! At the very start, Eduardo gave us the options of protein so that we could make a paella that we would enjoy eating. Then off to the market where he explained the way that foods were classified and how their origin was designated. The cooking class is set up for five couples. But since some did not show, there were two couples and three singles. Eduardo let the three singles cook on their own - so that they could cook everything. I really appreciated that because I had been in a cooking class before in which I just cooked part of one dish and not part of the others. We made Sangria to start but, because our Sangria needed to chill, Eduardo brought out a large bowl of chilled Sangria and an ice bucket so that we could enjoy as much Sangria as we wanted. We also made gazpacho and paella. Eduardo showed me some knife skills that I did not know and will now incorporate at home. The end results were delicious! We enjoyed our Sangria, Gazpacho, and Paella as a group and got to pepper Eduardo with questions about Spanish cuisine and other topics. Because we made so much food, he brought out “to go” cartons for anyone to take food back to their accommodations.
Bottom line…. Worth the time and expense!

Great cooking, easy instructions and excellent commentary. Nice group, enjoyed every minute and would highly recommend as a not to miss. So pleased I did this. Ideas and recipes to take home.

What a wonderful experience. Eduardo was our chef, and he was fabulous. Our trip to the market was eye opening. Eduardo explained everything perfectly when purchasing the ingredients. His instructions and suggestions were clear given in a constructive manner. He gave everyone the individual attention they needed. It was a fun group and we met nice people.

Outstanding cooking class with master chef Angel! We loved this cooking class and highly recommend the experience for beginners or cooks seeking to improve (greatly) their technique. You will have the chance to cook several delicious authentic Spanish tapas (including vegetarian options) as well as prepare sangria and dessert. Fantastic food and wonderful way to learn the food and culture of Spain. An excellent experience - and so much fun! Thank you, Angel and Cooking Point!

The cooking point paella class was amazing ! I forgot my tutors name but the school set up is amazing and very clean. We are vegetarians with additional dietary restrictions and it's amazing how they created the paella recipe for just me and the taste was authentic! Also the teacher was very conscious and made sure there was no cross contamination. Would recommend Cooking Point any day !

Amazing class!! The kitchen is professionally equipped and you are hands on from start to end. Àngel took us to the market first, which was very interesting to see. He also explained a bit about the Spanish traditions and origins of the produce we consumed. The cooking was hands on with detailed step by step instruction. End result: a super yummy delicious paella!!

We had a great time cooking with Elisa. We loved the market tour and learned so much about Spanish culture. I highly recommend the paella class!

I love to book tours when traveling. This class was incredible. My sister, adult daughter and I took this together. We can't possibly recommend Angel more. He was attentive, engaging, informative, kind to the market vendors and kept us on schedule. Everything was clean and organized and the end result was so delicious.

This class went beyond our expectations! The chef was very friendly and welcoming. We did the 10am class where we went to the market to get our ingredients for the sangria, gazpacho, and paella. He explained the various markets and their history within Spain, which was very informative. The class lasted about 3 hours, but the time flew by, and the group was diverse and amazing. We ate what we made and were given the recipes to make at home, as well as the recipes for their other Tapas classes.

Teresa was an amazing chef and the dishes we made were delicious! I would highly recommend this incredibly fun activity! We made cream de Catalan which is similar to creme brûlée. We made a yummy shrimp tapa, a Spanish tortilla, chorizo tapa, patatas bravas, and sangria! We had such a fun group from all over the world! Teresa was so much fun and gave us some interesting stories on the history of tapas and information on foods from Spain! We then got to enjoy everything we cooked!

Hello. I’m not sure if I am too late in my response. I do think you could indicate your food preferences - and leave out certain ingredients. Most people in the class made their own small adjustments to the recipe. You eat what YOU prepare. It’s a hand’s in class.

Should be an option. Let them know when you reserve. You work in pairs so maybe there is someone else who would prefer non seafood. Shopping at the market is done as a group prior to cooking so other ingredients are available.

My family did the day class making sangria, gazpacho, and paella. Very, very enjoyable! (And that's from teenagers.) A highlight of our trip. Highly recommend that you fit it in. The evening class might be tapas, but easy to find out if you email directly.

Yes, we do tapas class in the evenings (5:30-9:30pm). You prepare 5 traditional tapas + 1 traditional dessert + sangria.
Although all our classes are hands-on, this one is even more, because you have to prepare 7 preps

Agree with Alex G, he is very sensitive to people's allergies, eating habits, etc. The two other people in our class were vegetarian and they made completely vegetarian paella, no fish or chicken. So if he can accommodate making it gluten free, am sure he will! Call or email to ask and let him know, this is not a class to be missed!

Hi, I am very interested in your class - we would be a group of four people. My daughter is 13 and a fairly experienced cook; we make paella and gazpacho at home quite often in San Francisco.
