Went there in november. The water was nice, and the beach was beautiful. There was a limited area we could walk, as a lot of the area is protected/restricted (which is good). Nice place for a short trip or a picnic.

Top beach. Flat and empty in low season. Travelling by car is definitely worth it. Can also get windy, at least in October. But then you can swim in the still at 26 degrees.

The problem is serious, all full of butts, plastics and other crap.People do not collect their trash, let alone that of others.It is an example of how most beaches are in Spain.

Incredible beach and paradise. A treasure of Cartagena that many would like. I come from the Costa Brava and no beach resembles this one. It doesn't even seem like you're in Spain.

Very beautiful natural beach. Possibility of doing a short 5km round trip hike along the road (going to the part inaccessible by car) to Tortuga. There is a smaller beach there, sheltered from the winds.

Located in the Calblanque regional natural park, these beaches are superb.
No McDonald's here, no fried shacks or bars. No network for telephones, just the sand, the sound of the waves and the steep mountains of Calblanque Park.
There are around ten accessible beaches, from the small cove to the large beach 500 meters long. Some beaches are naturist friendly.
In July and August cars are prohibited in the park but there is a shuttle service at the entrance which takes you wherever you want. A bus every 10 minutes.
Otherwise by bike it's not bad too.
From September you can reach parking areas in the park directly by car. Be careful, the roads are almost unpaved so you have to drive very slowly.
Finally, if you want a little hike in the park, it’s definitely worth it. After a few steep climbs you will enjoy the spectacular landscapes of the Mediterranean coast and finish at the bottom with a refreshing swim.
You have understood that Calblanque is a little seaside paradise in a protected natural setting and really very pretty 😍

Amazing remote beach in the Calblanque reservation. The sand is soft and golden and the sea is crystal clear. We went in August (sooo hot, bring lots of sunscreen, water and shade!!) And it did not feel busy at all.

Is it possible to get to Playa de Calblanque from the cruise port in Cartagena? If so, about how long is the trip- we are only in port until 2 p.m.. Thanks.

I don’t think you can do it. People go there to walk the coastal path but the access road is in a poor state after the flooding. Go to Mazarrón which is nearer but personally we liked Cartagena anyway.

Si. El parking es gratuito. Hay dos parking y dos paradas. El parking de la parada más lejana a la playa esta mucho más libre.

Buenas. ¿Qué playa de Calblanque recomendáis? Fui hace unos años pero no me acuerdo en cuál estuve y he leído que al comprar el billete del bus te preguntan a qué playas vas. Gracias.

Te digo lo que dice el folleto que hay en la página:
- acceso de vehículos de 8 a 9 de la mañana.
- de 9 a 20.30 restringido el acceso de vehículos, se puede acceder aparcando en la entrada y cogiendo un autobús.
- en horario nocturno (de 20.30 a 8) no está permitido el acceso de vehículos y no hay autobuses.
Pero andando o en bici tienes acceso libre a Calblanque, por lo tanto, si no acampas yo entiendo que si puedes quedarte en la playa por la noche.
En la página “murciaturistica” tienes teléfonos de información.
