I would consider this museum to be in the top 10 things to do while in Sorrento. The artifacts date back thousands of years and the sheer number of them are absolutely breathtaking. There are four floors of ancient artifacts, tombs, sculptures, paintings that can take up to 2 hours to view. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend visiting this museum.

Since this museum was conveniently located next to my hotel, I stopped by. There are some very beautiful items in it. A great deal of history, which I thought was fascinating. I walked by the garden and thought it would be lovely when it was in bloom. There's an amazing view at the end of the garden.

Weird museum. Partly dilapidated, especially the garden is a mess.
What she advocates is that it be renovated, but when it's finished...
15 euro entrance is not little, especially since the roof terrace was closed for renovation.
If you like still lifes then there was something to see.
And we love these kinds of museums, but as a good Dutchman I can't stand it when we have to pay full price, but the museum is only partially intact. Seen a lot of staff, more than that. Rosary.

A wonderful museum in the center of Sorrento - easy walk from the main piazzas. Beautiful exhibits & views across the bay.
I bought a Sunday 12 noon ticket for the museum & gardens . The only unfortunate piece is that the museum closes at 1 pm on Sundays & 1 hour is not enough to see the museum & gardens.

Entrance fees are present but this is such a lovely museum, with some fantastic history. The recently-added basement allotment is just so amazing - I would highly recommend it here!

A really pleasant little museum situated in a quieter part of town. Beautiful gardens and a bay overlook. The exhibits were varied and we'll laid out.

Beautiful museum set up on several floors and containing many works of art with an area set up entirely with beautiful majolica. Really nice to visit, especially because it extends into a wonderful garden. Ticket cost 15 euros.

If you’re into 18th and 19th century Italian culture then maybe this will be the highlight of your tour, but for me it was just dingy paintings, dull furniture and tasteless ceramics.

An excellent private collection given to the town. The archaeological rooms were closed when I visited but very much enjoyed the mainly 19th paintings of Sorrento and Naples and wished it looked more like that now rather than the present day chaos with the traffic and tourists. Some beautiful views from the villa across the Bay of Naples. You'll spend about an hour here.

Hi, just spotted your question, I can’t remember the entrance fee, which means it was not a lot! Well worth the visit for the views and the garden.

Thinking of booking one of the Three Tenors evenings. Is it worth it? The website I am using doesn't tell me what seats I am getting only that they are "Central" seats (1 category below "Exclusive"). At EUR 50 per ticket, I want to be sure I have a decent seats.
