The church is located off the Via Tuscolana in the Tuscolano district and near the Tuscolana train station. It is dedicated to the Body and Blood of Christ, that is, the Eucharistic elements of the Mass.
It was designed by Aldo Aloysi and opened in 1991.
The white plaster façade has a reinforced concrete canopy supported by two pillars. Above the canopy is a large stained glass window filling the space between it and the roofline. On the horizontal roofline above this is a large cross made of metal rods.
The hall has a square plan with a coffered ceiling in reinforced concrete, with four square skylights in the central area. Over the altar area the skylight is rhomboidal.
The level of the roof of the central frontage unit is slightly higher than the rest.
A series of windows runs along the perimeter wall of the building, below the roof.
The wall behind the altar is blank except for a wooden crucifix.
On the left side of the altar is a large statue of St. Gaspare del Bufalo of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, who run the church and the Oratory. The floors are in resistant fired ceramic material in straight bands of travertine and peperino marble.
The weekday chapel, which can be accessed both from outside and from inside the hall, is located on the left of the entrance, visible internally through a glass wall.
The baptismal font is on the right hand side, and the free-standing tabernacle to the left. These, together with the ambo, are by Giorgio Fiordelli, a native Roman artist.
The parish is almost hidden in the streets behind the Via Tuscolana, but once you reach it, as soon as you enter you feel a vibe of great spirituality.
