This is Paula answering... I think the best thing to do is ask your questions directly with the museum or a travel consultant. Personally speaking, the Borghese museum is not for children. Waiting time varies for all attractions. Always better to have a good tour guide. I suggest RomeCabs. They were absolutely awesome! We did a private tour with them and our driver John was outstanding in every way! He took us to places not usually seen by tourist, which I loved!!! I hope this helps...

I wouldn't wait to purchase tickets. There is a capacity limit for the Borghese Gallery which is strictly followed. The tickets for the gallery routinely sell out in advance. If you wait, you will need some luck. The gallery will re-sell the tickets of no-shows - so a few tickets are typically available on the day of visit. But there will probably be others trying to buy these tickets as well and you could end up wasting a lot of time waiting to see if you can buy tickets and come away empty-handed.

when it Italy, Borhgese or not you always need to have some form of identification on you. Passport is best.

The Gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday . From 9.00 to 19.00. Last admission at 5.45pm. The ticket office is open from 8.30 until 1 hour before the museum closes.
