The site was amazing and our guide did a great job. Her descriptions helped us understand the history of what we were seeing. She was so helpful when my companion had difficulty with the tour and found her an elevator and places to sit down.

Letizia was a terrific guide. I was able to book last minute in Aug ‘24 for the early morning small group tour of the Vatican museums, and she kept us going when our energy was flagging! There was so much to see it could easily be overwhelming, but Letizia made sure we knew enough to give us context for what we were seeing and what was to come without bowling us over or boring us. She also took care to make sure were as comfortable as possible, pointing out facilities and positioning us in shade wherever possible. As someone who knows nothing about art, or the church I was thoroughly entertained and educated. Letizia would also be a great guide for someone with deeper knowledge as she is an art historian. What a great way to start off the day!

This was definitely the best thing we did in Rome! Our guide, Thomas, was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. He did a perfect job of blending both the culture of the city and the history, and really made us feel immersed in Rome. He was passionate and insightful, and was able to go in depth with answers to every single question we could possibly have. It's a fantastic private tour, really spending the most time to see exactly what we wanted to and were most interested in.

Just an amazing tour of the beginning of western civilization! Thomas did a great job explaining all the ruins and what life was like in the days when Rome was thriving. He is passionate about his job and it shows!

I had an amazing time on this tour with Thomas as a guide. He had so much knowledge and point it out the artworks that were worth seeing and checking it out. The best part was that he was SO FUNNY! It was so entertaining to see him explaining about the history of the artwork and the Basilica/Sistine chapel, everything was explained in a way that was easy to digest and understand, i really LOVED the tour with Thomas, i actually did another tour with TE and was secretly hoping my guide was Thomas again.

We had an amazing tour. Our tour guide Maria Letizia Bruschi was so knowledgeable, explained so much that we would have never known a lot of things if we were on our own. Through Eternity Tours has great tours. We definitely recommend using them.

We did the tour Colosseum with Gladiator Arena floor. Our tour guide Olga K. was amazing. She was so knowledgeable. We took so many pictures, and learned so much. I highly recommend Through Eternity Tours.

Thank you for your question and reaching out to us. We appreciate any question that can help people understand our product on such a great public forum. The houses of Livia and Augustus are fascinating places indeed to see but at the moment we are not giving tours of these sites because we have been able to procure access to an experience that we find even more fascinating. Our Nero's House of Gold the Domus Aurea which also includes a 3-D Surround sound interactive tour which is truly exceptional. It takes place only on the weekends and we highly suggest for you or anyone else to check it out.

I didn't do either of those tours. What I can tell you, is that Through Eternity is in my opinion the best. Call or email them and they will answer you honestly. Their guides are all so well educated and well spoken.

Hi Mike (and others), you said your tour started at the Palatine Hill and ended at the Colosseum. Which tour was this? I can't tell from the descriptions on the website.
I'm wondering if doing it in this order would be a bit less strenuous. Also wondering, for those who included the Underground portion of the Colosseum, and the third tier, how much climbing this entails? Thanks.

I took the 5-hour "Colosseum Underground Tour, Third Tier, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill." It's hard for me to characterize the "strenuous" aspects, as everyone views this differently. It's obviously a lot of walking during the 5 hours, but there's a lot of stopping along the way to learn about what you are seeing. I remember the steps getting down to the underground of the colosseum to be steep, but I don't recall there being that many (less then were at the entrance to the Catacombs, for example). They did offer folks who wanted the use of an elevator to go most of the way to the third tier of colosseum, eliminating the need for most of the steps up, but not the last few (I don't think).

As the other reviwers said you walk around on a newly installed wooden platform which is just above the arena floor. It gives you a great understanding of the scale of the building when you look back up at the ruin. Hope this is some help. Would highly reccommend the company anyway.

I'm sorry, but I think I got this question in error as I am not part of the company. Contact them through their website. Through Eternity tour of the Vatican was well worth the price, whatever it was. Cinzia was our tour guide and she was amazing. When the tour ended around 2 everyone in our group of 6 left, but we did not. We stayed at St. Peter's for hours longer!!!!!
