This was our favorite tour on our trip!!!! Alessandro was awesome.. #DOPforlife. Transportation was perfect and easy. They provided us great insight to making of balasmic, parmigiano reggiano, and prosciutto. Sooo much food and wine. you wont regret this experience.

Do it you will not regret. From the beginning to the end was so great. The guides have so much information to share with you and their personalities are exceptional. My family and I had such a great day.

I simply can't recommend this food experience enough. Just an absolutely perfect day spent learning about the processes of producing some of Italy's most famous and delicious products (Prosciutto, Parmigiano Reggiano and Aceto Balsamico). Alessandro and his team went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and so well fed we were bursting at the seams. It would be very easy for a tour of this type to be basic and just shuffled from one area to the next with pressure to make purchases along the way. We never felt pressured or rushed and the tour was absolutely fascinating and educational. You can really feel the passion that everyone involved has for their craft.
The size of the tour group was also perfect! I can't stand giant bus tours and was so pleased to find that the tour was so small that you can actually engage and ask questions. By the end of the tour it really just felt like a big group of friends sharing a meal together and talking about everything we learned.

This was the greatest travel experience of my life and has ruined me for all other tours. More than worth the cost for this life-changing experience. We had a "tour veteran" on our trip and I completely understand why she has been 12+ times. I cannot wait to go to Bologna and do this tour again (and maybe another time after that!)
Alessandro is amazing, and has built an incredible food empire with a clear passion for the highest quality food and an exceptional experience.

Our group had such a good time! Alessandro, the owner, was so high energy and authentic and engaging that it really made the experience memorable. Alessandro, the tour guide, same named but different guy, was great also.
The tour through the parm factory, the balsamic tour and the prosciutto factory were all interesting and a great experience.
Breakfast was served at the balsamic farm, which was the second stop, and consisted of croissants and small sandwiches and espresso and breakfast wine (I’ve never heard of that before) and of course a balsamic and Parmesan tasting.
Last was the lunch in which the first phase was prosciutto, salad, peppers, bruschetta and several wines. That first phase was enough food to fill the belly. Then there was a second phase of three pastas (all delicious) , wine pairings and tiramisu and coffee. It was a ton of all delicious food so bring your appetite!

This tour was fun and informative! The driver, tour guide, and owner were hilarious and we had a great time. The tours were awesome and we had so much delicious food and wine! This is a must do!

Full of expectations we set our alarm extra early and that during the holidays (!). How could we have known what fantastic day lay ahead? Picked up by the super enthusiastic Alessandro in an extremely comfortable van, being taken from one blissful address to another: enjoying the landscape, the drive and passion of the craftsmen, enjoying flavours/scents and good company. How could we have known that this day will be forever etched in our memories as passionate, fun and cozy, educational and simply fantastic! Alessandro our guide was friendly, very knowledgable and professional. Excellent guide.
We left on time in a clean and comfortable minibus.
All 3 stops , cheese , balsamic vinegar and prosciutto , were great . Everything was explained very clearly.
The food was 5 star , especially for lunch .
We would recommend this tour .

First of all I would like to say that Alessandro was the best part of the tour.
Then the tour it’s unbelievable, the experience that you do inside the factory and the knowledge that you have at the end and the products that you will try are indescribable.
It’s a must .

This terrific full-day tour took us to see parmigano reggiano, real balsamico, and prosciutto being made in Modena. Alessandro is a wonderful tour guide who clearly loves food and loves teaching you about the best that the region has to offer. He’s funny, knowledgeable, and personable. In between factory tours, we were fed breakfast and a huge lunch. We tasted two types of parm, several different ages of vinegar, many different cuts of cured meat (prosciutto as well as other parts of the pig), and several different wines. After the tastings, we were served a lunch of three different types of homemade pasta, followed by dessert and espresso. We may never eat again! The Italian Days your surpassed our expectations. Definitely spend your day with Alessandro, Monica, and Mauricio. You won’t regret it!

The tour we went on includes a Parmiggiano factory, a prosciutto producer, a family run balsamic producer and a lengthy multi course lunch at an agriturismo- but not the Ferrari factory. The tour was fabulous-lasted 10 hours!

Hi Alexandra,
The train takes a bit over half an hour from Florence to Bologna and runs very frequently.
Italian Days picked me up and dropped me at my hotel in Bologna so may be able to do the the same for you at Bologna Railway Station. Alternatively they may have a deal with the railways and can do the whole thing for you.
Suggest you contact Italian Days on their website and seek their advice.
Make sure that you this tour it was great fun and I also learnt a lot at the same time.

I'll come from Florence taking an early train. In this case, is the place for pick-ups the station of Bolgna cenrale at 7 AM? And where do you drop us after finishing the tour?
(that's because i want to scan Bolgna city inside quickly after the tour.)

10 hours is a long time. I have guessed that there is vehicle transport between wide venues is provided - or is it 10 hours walking?

Is everything in Bologna or is there travel to other towns/ cities in the region?

The company picks you up and drops you off at the end of the day. You are driven between venues.
The various stops are outside the city of Bologna and it does take a bit of time to get there and back.
Do not hesitate ! A fantastic tour !
