Arca was a great experience. The teachers were patient, knowledgeable and fun!

My decision to attend one of Arca’s courses was one of the best I’ve made regarding my Italian studies. Although I was a little unsure at the beginning by the 3rd day I really began to see dramatic improvements. The lessons were fun and effective. The teachers were excellent in every way; clear, patient and dedicated. My two week stay passed far too quickly and I plan to return in 2021.

Sono venuta a Arca per una settimana dopo una pausa di un anno nello studio di italiano, durante la quale avevo studiato un'altra lingua. Ho seguito un corso di 4hore al giorno, con Massimo e Dora, in un piccolo gruppo (7 personne) B1. Dopo questa settimana, con l'aiuto dei professori incorragianti che ci hanno fatto lavorare senza stressarci, posso dire che ho una migliore sensazione nel italiano.Anche la pausa café con i professori in un bar vicino era sempre un piacere. Le quattro ore passavano senza che si rendessimo conto. Tutto sommato, ricomanderei questa scuola.

The staff at Arca were so kind, welcoming, patient and helpful in my time there studying Italian. I felt like they genuinely cared about me and took the time to listen and correct or praise my attempts. I can't wait to go back.

Ich hatte eine super Zeit in der Schule. Dir Räumlichkeiten sind hell, freundlich und gepflegt. Die Lehrer sind waren freundlich, geduldig und sehr kompetent. Der Unterricht würde sehr abwechslungsreich und individuell gestaltet. Das Sekretariat stand bei jeder Frage zur Seite und hat weitergeholfen. In der Woche in der ich dort war haben drei Aktivitäten statt gefunden. Ich habe an allen teilgenommen und sie haben Sie super gefallen. Sie waren sehr gut organisiert und kostengünstig. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Vorrei ringraziarvi per un splendido mese ad ARCA. Tutti gli insegnanti sono perfetti: l’ affascinante Dora, il misterioso Ludovico, l’energico Massimo, la responsabile Serafina (la chiamavano “una professoressa vera”:), le allegre Corinna e Iolanda, e naturalmente “il cuore” della scuola Serena. Grazie per le lezioni e le attivita’ molto interessanti e utili.
Credo, che ritornero’ nella meravigliosa Bologna e continuero’ a studiare l’italiano ad ARCA.

This review is so long overdue. I was at Arca for one week in April 2018 and I can easily say it was one of the best weeks that I had this year. This school is wonderful.
I have been studying Italian as a hobby for 1 year but it was week at Arca that had the most impact on confidence and ability. I saw progress in my abilities even from the 5 days that I attended class. I wish I could have stayed for a month.
The teachers are fantastic - supportive and engaged. They did an excellent job of fostering a learning environment where students could be relaxed but challenged. I was also impressed at how they integrated new students into classes each week. I had Massimo and Chiara during my week at the school and they were absolutely fantastic - energetic, patient and helpful.
Not only is the teaching quality high, the organization of the school is exceptional. From my initial communications, arranging accommodation to the activities organized in the evening, I was impressed by the organization and responsiveness the team at Arca.
I can unreservedly recommend Arca to anyone interested in Italian. Thank you so much Arca!

Una settimana perfetta con professori gentilissimi e veri pedagoghi. Ho imparato tanto lessico grazie a loro. Mi è piaciuto condividere interessi culturali con Massimo durante il corso individuale. Insomma, grazie per questa esperienza indimenticabile !

Honestly, I have nothing but positive things to say about ARCA : From the first contact by e-mail with Serena and the organization and follow-up by her and the other Ladies in the office prior to my arrival until the actual courses. Bravissimo !
An A0 level (absolutely no knowledge of Italian) I decided to take individual classes, both in the morning as well as in the afternoon. My patient patient, kind and experienced (read "very") teachers Alessandra and Ludovico taught me so much in just one week, progressing at my own pace - grammar, vocab, verbs (oh these Italian verbs ...), pronounciation but also about Italy, the Italian culture and the city of Bologna itself. The interesting discussions (in Italian of course) about so many different topics, as well as the cultural stroll around La Rossa were the cherry on the cake. Grazie !
I will, without a doubt, go back for another week of individual classes at ARCA. A presto !

Hi, My name is Charlie and I live in Massachusetts. I am a psychiatrist, and I have come to Italy several times to teach Italian psychotherapists. I have been teaching in Bologna the last three times, and I will be coming there another three or more times. I have not yet tried to learn Italian, but now I am very motivated. I am planning to arrive early for my next course in Bologna and I am hoping to find individual tutoring for learning Italian, for two days, all day (perhaps 8 hours each day). I will arrive in Bologna on March 28 (Tuesday), and I would like to take a course on Wednesday and Thursday, March 29 and 30. Can you let me know if it is possible to arrange this tutoring through your school.

Hi Nadine here, I am coming to Bologna in January, I was wondering if you do a cooking school day for myself and the three boys, they love pizza, pasta and everything italian and feel it would be a wonderful experience to do with them.
