This tour was amazing. Even my wife, who begrudgingly went along with me, found it so interesting that even she was not bored
Regardless of being a Maserati the entire process of hand building a car, being as close to them building the cars as you are, and the various other buildings you visit (paint shop, engine assembly, car testing building, engine testing, R&E building) was unbelievable.
The assembly building is essentially rows of stations (maybe 10-x20?) where each station they are are adding something to the car. You are standing maybe 5-10 feet from the car and mechanics. The cars is on kind of a sled which they move to the next station. The first station had the metal frame on the sled and them lowering in and installing the passenger cabin mold. Other stations we saw them drop an engine in, or put the painted panels on ...all the way to putting the wheels on and driving it off to the testing building.
Everything was by hand. No robots...other than in the paint building where I was mesmerized watching the robotic arms painting the panels, side mirrors etc. (all the parts to be painted are put on a sled too with each part placed in a way that all the panels and parts to the car can be pained at once. The painted panels are then installed on the car in the assembly building).
Even in the engine assembly building, where the workers were in a clean room and wearing white jumpsuits, and we looked through glass, we were fascinated watching them put the engines together...and another building where they were testing the enginges.
This is a tour not to be missed.
BTW, they did not give me very good instructions on where to park or where to go for the entrance. I pulled in to the driveway and went to the guard booth. They spoke no English and were no help...other than to make it clear I needed to get out of there. I called the tour line and they were very helpful in telling me where to park ...which was a big parking garage just a block away on the other side of the main street . We then walked back to the security booth and found the tour people right near there checking people off the list.
At the time we we were there in May 2023, the tour was free to owners, and 50 euros a person otherwise.

A far more engaging and interesting tour than the ferrari tour. You get to go inside the factory line and see up close the construction of the MC20. Compared to Ferraris tour which was just a bus ride pointing out buildings, maseratis tour is far more engaging. Tour groups are small aswell so that helps. If you want to go to a museum go to ferrari, if you want a proper factory tour go to maserati

Of all the factory tours in motor valley this is the one. An expert guide shows you absolutely ALL there is to see in the Maserati factory.

11 personnes, un baratin interminable au début sur les déboires de l'histoire de la marque mais on comprend mieux en sortant le pourquoi.. . Distribution d'écouteurs dont 5/11 sont tombés en panne et deux personnes ont fini sans. On vous balade au banc moteur où, sans aucune explication technique de la nature des essais et de ce que l'on cherche à obtenir, cela n'épate que ceux qui n'ont jamais rien vu... Un autre atelier où on desosse la concurrence... On vous raconte un tas d'âneries sur un atelier de montage moteur, soit disant pressurisé alors qu'il n'y a pas de sas.
On ne vous montre pas la ligne d'assemblage parce qu'on risque de polluer... Par contre on a pu croiser des ingénieurs qui travaillaient en plein soleil avec des ordinateurs sur des protos électriques. Ils n'ont pas d'ateliers et de labos chez Maserati pour travailler sur le trottoir ? Pour avoir fait une bonne partie de ma carrière autour et dans l'automobile, ça fait garage de banlieue. Rien à voir avec la visite faite à Santa Agata chez son concurrent... Et ils nous parlent de "Just in time" en nous montrant un Fenwick baladant des caisses avec des alternateurs à peine filmés et branlant dans tous les sens... J'avais l'impression de me retrouver chez Simca Poissy. Ils devraient venir voir chez Toyota à Valenciennes pour faire un stage d'organisation du travail à la japonaise. Et je pourrais en écrire 5 pages. Stellantis à du boulot pour remettre au niveau cette splendeur passée.... Bon courage... Et dire que ça a la réputation de ne pas être fiable, en visitant même partiellement l'usine, on comprend pourquoi...

Abbiamo partecipato alla vista allo show-room Maserati durante l’apertura del sabato. Molto carino il racconta della storia dell’azienda e la descrizione dei vari modelli esposti. Si può usufruire anche di uno sconto sull’acquisto del merchandising.

Ook voor de niet-auto liefhebber is de rondleiding door de fabriek een belevenis. Je wordt keurig ontvangen in de showroom, waar je alvast kunt rondkijken. Vervolgens zie je het productieproces in de fabriek, zeer indrukwekkend. Het is jammer dat de prijs van deze rondleiding extreem hoog is. Ze willen het klaarblijkelijk, net als het merk, exclusief houden.

We loved Maserati. the quality of the vehicles are as good as any of the premium auto valley Italian car makers. Their staff was truly accommodating and patient. I cannot say enough about them. When there, try 'Pavority's' restaurant. it was a recommendation and they were amazing as well

We received a very very good factory tour by Victoria Vasquez at the Modena factory. She answered all questions and gladly showed us the whole factory.

Siamo stati oggi allo show-room. Alessandro è stato davvero gentile. Ci ha mostrato le varie auto presenti spiegandoci le loro caratteristiche. Dalle sue parole traspare la passione che sta dietro al suo lavoro. L’azienda ha trovato davvero un ottimo ambasciatore.
Ci ha anche dato delle dritte per la visita della città.
Non vediamo l’ora di tornare l’anno prossimo per effettuare un tour dell’azienda!

Very informative and interesting tour of the Maserati showroom and factory.
The showroom had all the current models on display and we were allowed to touch them and sit in them.
We were given a brief introduction to the formation of the company by the Maserati brothers and the subsequent takeovers by Orsi, Citroen and de Tomaso. There was a fascinating display showing scale models of most of Maserati's output since the company's inception, highlighting the diversion from racing to consumer cars.
On the factory tour we were shown the assembly and testing areas. I previously did the tour about 7 years ago and the tour this time was simply unbelievable how much more modern the factory has become.
During the tour we were given some information into the new models which are very likely to be at Geneva in 2020.
Note that we could take photos in the showroom but photography was strictly forbidden in the factory.
Thoroughly recommended.

I planed to visit Modena for my vacation, and while researching where to go, I found Factory tour & Exhibition programme of Maserati.
I always love design of Maserati and I was wondering how to create a wonderful car.
I would like to book if there is a schedule available from April 4 to April 12 (English tour).
