When one comes from the train station to the center of Rome, the first great spectacular square that is found is this
It is very wide and surrounded by spectacular monuments such as the military academy and the ducal palace, we did not visit them because we were only there for one day, but I think they can be visited by appointment
It is worth taking a leisurely walk admiring this square and all the details and sculptures around it.
Special attention to the statue of Ciro Meroni, martyr of the Italian nation, and one of the revolutionaries of Modena

Una bella, grande, lineare ed elegante piazza pedonale nella quale si affacciano la chiesa di San Giorgio e il Palazzo Ducale ora sede dell'accademia militare.

This is a huge square dominated by the stunning Palazzo Ducale. There is also a fountain, statue and bars/restaurants/ice-cream shops/etc.

Un tempo era una bellissima piazza totalmente vuota. Poi divenne un orrendo parcheggio auto... comodo, ma orripilante. Adesso è...quasi orrenda: hanno tolto le auto ma l'hanno riempita di inutili fontane che formano pozze dove si lavano i cani e si bagnano i monelli, nonchè gli adolescenti drogati.
