piu' lo giri piu' ti piace. in autunno e primavera e' bellissimo tante passeggiate facili. bello il sentiero rilke e il sentiero della salvia.

Prati, boschi ..pietre ...mare colori incredibili dall'alba al tramonto..borghi antichi dove ascolti solo il tuo incedere tra i viottoli.. ci tornerò ancora. Meraviglioso carso

L'altopiano del Carso è bello in qualsiasi stagione ma in autunno si infiamma col rosso delle foglie di sommacco. Dall'alto si ammira il mare, pur immersi nel verde di vigneti e campi, talvolta calpestando la roccia. E poi è disseminato di stupende osmizze.

Il Carso Triestino offre svariati sentieri immersi nella natura. Noi abbiamo scelto il sentiero Rilke, da Sistiana al castello di Duino. Una passeggiata sulla scogliera con bellissimi paesaggi. Lungo la strada delle macchine ci sono degli ingressi che consentono di farne anche solo una parte.

The city of Trieste is of great cultural interest, but it also offers plenty for the nature lover, especially in the Carso Triestino, part of the Karst Plateau, which it shares with southwestern Slovenia. With plenty of trails it is a paradise for hikers. Most popular is the Strada Vicentina (or Via Napoleonica) on the edge of the Karst, high above the Mediterranean with great views of the coastline. This 3,7km long walk is very popular.
On most other trails one encounters only very few people. One day we took the bus to Opicina, where we started our a bit more than 4h hike to the old pond at 'Stagno di Banne' (Stari Kral), continuing through the village of Trebiciano (Trebce) to the village of Gropada, where we stopped for lunch at an Agroturismo restaurant.
After that we went for a short stretch on the 'Alpe Adria Trail', which is 750km long, starting at the foot of the Grossglockner and going through Carinthia, Slovenia to the Italian border village of Muggio near Trieste. Another part was on the 'Josef Ressel Trail', which continues to the Sloven village of Lipica, famous for its stud farm of Lipizzan horses.
We ended the hike in the village of Basovizza, from where we took a bus back to Trieste. The whole hike on the Plateau is with hardly any difference in altitudes and mostly around 400m asl. The scenery is typical 'Karst', a geological formation, which got its name from here, but is now used for similar topographies all over the world.
On most of our walk we went through light forest, past drystone walls and 'Karren' (limestone pavements) and we saw several dolines (sinkholes), so typical for a Karst landscape, where water disappears through cracks underground. For this reason no rivers or brooks are encountered.
On most other trails one encounters only very few people. Every osmiza I've stopped in at has had wonderful wines and delicious hams and cheeses...the ultimate wine tasting in very pleasant and informal settings. Don't miss it...we unfortunately get no further than the osmiza and have yet to do the nature walks and big tourist sites. I guess we're just simple lushes....LOL!

Una passeggiata sul Carso triestino non è solo rilassante per i bei panorami che talvolta finiscono al mare e per le pinete che ci regalano buon ossigeno ma anche perchè si incappa frequentemente in eccezionali posti di ristoro dove mangiare alla carsolina le specialità del luogo basate su carne arrosta o alla brace digerite con i vini locali bianchi tra cui primeggia la Vitovska o i rossi con il tradizionale edinsuperabile Terano. Specialmente d' estate si aprono le " osmizze " di antica tradizione austriaca dove si beve e mangia solo prodotti del contadino proprietario del locale. Questi esercizi sono temporanei e durano al massimo 8 settimane per lo più suddivise in 2 o 3 periodi differenti. Per un turista è un' esperienza di vita verace triestina.

Avevo già avuto modo di conoscere questa zona, sempre per motivi soprattutto enogastronomici, così come questa volta. Il paesaggio è molto bello, naturale e ci vorrebbero delle intere giornate per conoscere o scoprire i luoghi più affascinante. Anche un semplice passaggio e qualche breve sosta, però, sono stati sufficienti per apprezzare nuovamente questa che può essere ben considerata una vera e propria, immensa, riserva naturale. Il lato gastronomico è il plus.

Davanti alla stazione del treno prendi la 42-44-46 (uno delle tre va bene). Scendi a Prosecco e chiedi le indicazioni per il sentiero numero uno che ti porta a santa croce, puoi fare andata e ritorno. Oppure chiedi indicazioni per la napoleonica, dalla fermata in centro al paese è facilissimo arrivarci. Fai una passeggiata con vista mozzafiato di circa un 5 chilometri da dove scendi dall'autobus. Arrivi all'Obelisco, ad Opicina. A questo punto puoi scendere a piedi per scalasanta o per via Bonomea. Oppure aspettare la due o la quattro (a Trieste si aspetta LA corriera, non l'autobus)

ciao, saremo a cividale da domani. vorrei fare una giornata a trieste che un po' ho già visto e una passeggiata nel carso. ti chiedo qualche dritta su dove andare per ottimizzare i tempi, visto che a sera si rientra a cividale. grazie tante!!

Vai fino a Prosecco e da li' prosegui attraverso Borgo San Nazario fino al parcheggio nei pressi della Strada Vicentina, detta Napoleonica. Bella passeggiata e vista mozzafiato sul golfo con il castello di Miramare, foce dell'Isonzo, Grado e dall'altra parte tutta Trieste, la costa slovena fino a punta Salvore in Croazia.
