I was paired to contemplate the masterpiece that is the Golden Basilica, with an audio-Guide provided by the place that does not deepen every single work on display, but provides basic information on the content and history of the exhibitions, encouraging the listener to inquire and discover again the Holy Annunziata del Vastato, its majesty can not be contained entirely in a 30-minute tour. In doing so, the Guide is light and essential. I also bought two postcards for my mother and the staff was very kind. I must admit that from the outside it didn't strike me as much, but once inside you are mesmerized by the church where the sun always shines.

If for Montesquieu it was the most beautiful church in Genoa I have nothing else to add. Spectacular. Too bad for the grim person at the entrance who should solicit(?) offers but who would be more at ease as a bouncer in a nightclub. I saw English tourists reaching for their wallets, frightened by the almost intimidating welcome they received. For my part, I didn't give a citto (as we say in Genoa), but let's remove certain characters from the public.

Magnificent church interpreting Genoese Baroque, also a symbol of the historical artistic stratification of our country.
Despite the centuries and the vicissitudes of war, we can still admire the beautiful frescoes of Giovanni Carlone and his brother Giovanni Battista, Gioacchino Assereto and Andrea Ansaldo, names that might mean nothing to most people but which instead still represent Genoese baroque today ( a jewel yet to be rediscovered). Furthermore, in the naves and on the altars there are an infinite number of pictorial works by artists of the Genoese school and beyond: Luca Cambiaso, Guercino, Bernardo Strozzi, Giulio Benso, Giovanni Battista Paggi, Domenico Piola, Gregorio De Ferrari, Andrea Semino, Giovanni Andrea De Ferrari, Pietro Paolo Raggi, Nicolò Carlone, Domenico Fiasella. In short, a fixed stop that cannot be missed in a visit to this splendid city. Don't forget to insert a coin to better admire the imposing canvas by Procaccini placed above the entrance portal.

Already from the external classical pronaos (which dates back to 1867) the grandeur of this church built in 1520 and then remodeled to its current features between 1591 and 1625 can be seen.
Inside, which is in late mannerist style, there are splendid stuccoes, frescoes and inlaid marble decorations.
The wooden groups of Maragliano and the seventeenth-century paintings by various artists (Strozzi, Ansaldo, De Ferrari, Benso and Carlone) are of great value, but it is above all The Last Supper by Giulio Cesare Procaccini that attracts attention.
It is worth a visit, as it is one of the most interesting and artistically rich churches in the city.

Church originally of the Franciscan order transformed by the Lomellini into a treasure chest of art and triumph of the Baroque. The restoration carried out between 1995 and 2015 has restored splendor to this jewel, but the façade overlooking the square already needs recovery work

Entering the Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata is like entering a magical place. There is so much to see that you don't know where to start, one wonder after another. If you go to Genoa, you must visit it.

Genoa has little to envy other Italian cities of art, and this magnificent church, known to all as "la Nunziata", is an example of this. The baroque decoration leaves you breathless with how beautiful and refined it is. To admire a famous painting depicting the Last Supper.

It is a church that does not say much on the outside, but upon entering it is majestic. It reflects true Genoese art. Its construction began in 1520, with a mixture of Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical styles, depending on the time in which it was restored. Incredible frescoes, gold figures throughout the dome, important columns and luxury that make it truly beautiful.

When researching Genoa, this Basilica was not among the city's main attractions, which made the experience of finding it on the way even more incredible.
Although the outside does not attract much attention, the inside of the church is magnificent, especially a sculpture by Maragliano that is on the left side of the church and that at first glance we think is a painting.
