Inside the deconsecrated church of Saint Teresa , after the agreement between Cultural Activities Ministry, Lombardy Region, Province and Municipality of Milan; in 2003 they opened this media library where it’s possible adjourn yourself on DVD , microfilm and electronic information you can find available these days .

Originally the building was a church in honour of St. Theresa and St. Joseph, it was part of a complex built in the 17th century for the Barefooted Carmelites.
It has a Greek cross plan.
After the dispossesion in 1782, the building suffered from numerous structural changes, as it was devoted to different uses: tobacco manufacture, military quarters, mint, cooperative store and worker's club.
In the middle nineties was acquired by the Commune of Milan and restored.
Finally, in june 2003 was opened as Braidense and Media National Library.

Negli spazi della preziosa Mediateca si trova posto per mostre multimediali eccellenti: videoarte, libri d' Artista e di Design. Dialogo tra le tecniche e le tecnologie digitali, visori, schermi e suoni.

Aperta al pubblico nel giugno 2003 questa importante sezione staccata della Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense è interamente dedicata ai nuovi media.
Gli spazi sono stati ricavati nella seicentesca ex chiesa dei Santi Giuseppe e Teresa, che faceva parte del complesso monastico delle Carmelitane Scalze e che dal 1974 è di proprietà del Comune di Milano.
Nella sala centrale, impreziosita dalla presenza dell'Antica Carta d'Italia di Matteo Greuter (sec. XVII), è possibile consultare le banche dati on line e su CD-ROM, fondi digitalizzati della Braidense, teche RAI, risorse audio-video e CD musicali.
La struttura è aperta tutti i giorni, tranne sabato e festivi, con orari diversificati.

Die Mediateca Santa Teresa steht im nördlichen Teil der Innenstadt von Mailand. Von der Metrostation Moscova aus ist man zu Fuss in weniger als drei Minuten hier.
Die digitale Bibliothek ist in einer ehemaligen Kirche untergebracht. Für uns war es schon sehr ungewohnt, eine Bibliothek ohne Bücher zu sehen, aber das sind nun mal die Zeichen der Zeit.
Fazit: Sehenswert.

Примечательно, что это уникальное место находится на Московской улице. В заброшенной базилике недавно открыли медиацентр и библиотеку нового поколения, где вместо книг компьютеры, интернет и прочие мультимедийные устройства.

Цифровую мультимедийная библиотека в стиле барокко находится в помещении церкви Святых Терезы и Иосифа (Mediateca Santa Teresa). Это первая библиотека в Италии без книг является и центром средств массовой информации. После нескольких лет глобальной перестройки и реконструкции церкви публичное открытие новой структуры состоялось 13 июня 2003 года.

На месте старой церкви появилась медиатека, т.е. мультимедийная библиотека. Компьютеры, вай-фай, все очень современно и много студентов.

La chiesa barocca di Santa Teresa, risalente al Seicento, sconsacrata e abbandonata da anni, è stata trasformata nella sede della sezione informatica della Biblioteca Nazionale di Brera, la "Braidense".
Nell'interno ci sono numerosissime postazioni informatiche, wi-fi, monitor, schermi, videoregistratori VHS e DVD.
Costituisce una fonte di informazione per finalità di ricerca, studio e documentazione. La RAI ha dato alla mediateca anche le sue Teche.
Chiunque vi può accedere gratuitamente, basta che abbia compiuto i 15 anni.
Aperta da mertedì a venerdì dalle 10 alle 18.10, sabato dalle 10 alle 14.45. Lunedì solo per la consultazione delle Teche RAI, su appuntamento solo al mattino.
Durante le Settimane della Moda e del Design vi si tengono eventi satelliti.
