Notre guide, Giorgia, était parfaite. Solaire et souriante son anglais était très bon et ses explications supers complètes sur Milan. Le
tour proposé fait bien découvrir différentes facettes de la ville en 3 heures (parc et château, centre historique et quartier des artistes de Breda).Le Segway est une expérience incroyable. J’avais peur de ne pas maîtriser mais malgré mes 50 ans je maîtrisais ce joujou en 10 minutes !
A recommander !!
tour proposé fait bien découvrir différentes facettes de la ville en 3 heures (parc et château, centre historique et quartier des artistes de Breda).Le Segway est une expérience incroyable. J’avais peur de ne pas maîtriser mais malgré mes 50 ans je maîtrisais ce joujou en 10 minutes !

Daniele, the tour guide, led a thoroughly interesting tour of the city center of Milan. We used this company in Paris in 2010 and was just as satisfied, as we particularly enjoy using Segways as a means of sight seeing. Daniele gave us a fine amount of scenery and history and has an engaging personality and perfect English. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Sylvia, was exceptional! We were a group of 8 and Sylvia spent enough time with every individual until one was comfortable riding the Segway. The tour itself was phenomenal as we got to see the city of Milan and its gems from a resident’s eyes. We had great fun riding and exploring the city this way. Sylvia added the new district to extend the tour and we all enjoyed it thoroughly.

Gids Paola was zeer vriendelijk en enthousiast, ze wist onze zoon, mijn vrouw en mij binnen 15 minuten de kneepjes van de Segway te leren. Na het oefenen gingen wij door de straten van Milaan. Tijdens de tour van drie uur gingen wij langs diverse bezienswaardigheden waar wij met veel enthousiasme van Paola informatie kregen. Bovendien hield zij de mensen in de drukke winkelstraten op afstand. Het was zo ontspannen en leuk dat de tijd voorbijvloog, Segway tour door Milaan met Fat Tire Tours is zeker een aanrader!

We took a chance on this tour, and it really paid off. My husband and I got the hang of the Segway quickly, and we were off to enjoy the north side of Milan. I would recommend anyone as a great combination of fun and learning about Milan. Thank you Luigi!

I don't normally post negative reviews, but I believe this situation merits sharing to help prevent similar frustrations for other users. This review is not about the tour itself—which my family and I were not able to participate in—but about the misleading information provided during the purchase process.
When booking the Milan Segway tour, the description explicitly stated that it was suitable for "families with children aged over 11." For context, we are a family of six, and our youngest child is 11. We even took a similar Segway tour in Valencia two years prior, where our then 9-year-old son could participate without issue.
However, when we arrived for the tour, the operators denied service to my 11-year-old son, claiming that the terms and conditions specify a minimum age of 16—a detail I was able to confirm only later. I respect businesses having rules, but I take issue with misleading information, especially when it's so blatant.
At this point, it's unclear whether the responsibility for this misrepresentation lies with TripAdvisor or Fat Tire Tours. Nevertheless, it's evident that one (or both) parties provided inaccurate information, and, disappointingly, it appears no one is prepared to own up to this.
The solutions offered were far from satisfactory: 1) Exclude our youngest son, or 2) Have him follow the tour on a bicycle. Neither option was acceptable to us, leading us to forfeit the tour—a decision that couldn't be reversed as we hadn't canceled 24 hours in advance.
Even after presenting the misleading tour description to the operator—who kindly reported it to their supervisor—their stance remained unchanged. They continued to deny the service, citing the 16-year-old age limit in the detailed terms and conditions, and overlooking the confusing description that seems to invite 11-year-olds.
The bottom line: I spent $555 USD on a tour that my family and I never got to enjoy, and it seems unlikely that a fair resolution will be offered.
Having used TripAdvisor multiple times, my trust in the platform's reliability has been seriously undermined following this experience.

Hi Noel, I'm sincerely sorry for the confusion caused by TripAdvisor and for the disappointing effect it had on your time in Milan.
Here in Italy, the legal age for riding a Segway is 16 years old, that is why as a company we have to strictly adhere to this policy. It has been this way in Italy for at least the last 6 years.
TripAdvisor does not allow us to write our own descriptions for the tours of ours that they resell, they use a team of copywriters who consider the text as a form of promotion. From time to time they rewrite the descriptions and they do not notify us when they are doing this. It seems that in this case they wrote some completely false information about the age limit on Segway tours in Italy. They have subsequently removed the offending text, but they won't take responsibility for the situation.
All I can say to you and anyone reading, is please consider booking your tours directly with the tour operator. In most cases you will receive more clear information, more personal service and a more seamless journey from booking to enjoying the tour by cutting out the middle-man.
Once again, I'm sorry about the disappointment, I hope that you get a chance to experience one of our tours in future.

Sylvia led a very fun tour which showed us all the major sights in Milan. As we had more time she showed us around another district which was interesting. The four of us were the only ones on the trip so it was lovely chatting to her at the stops.

Hola, si queréis hacer un tour en español, nosotros podemos organizarlo en forma privada y si los niños respectan los requisitos de peso y altura, no hay algún problema para montar el Segway.
Por favor háganos saber por email dónde y cuando está iteresado en hacer el tour para que podamos controlar la disponibilidad.

Yes, we can arrange a Milan segway tour for your family of 10 people. we have available the 2-hour tour at 50€ per person and the 3-hour tour at the special price of 60€. The tour start at 9.30am and 2.30pm every day. Hi, my youngest will be 12. We have a segway at home that has no handles - she is very coordinated. I know that she will be able to control it and ride it properly. However I do not want to book for the 4 of us if she is not allowed to ride. Please let me know. Thanks, Louise

Hi I am 52 years old and have not done a Segway ride before. Do you think I would be able to manage this? I do not know how to ride bicycles too. We are a family of 5 so would the tour only be consisting of us and the guide in December? Would it be very cold to do the night Segway tour?

Hi, even though the Segway is very easy to drive riders must have the ability to make motions such as climbing and descending stairs without assistance. The Segway also is not appropriate for those weighing under 90 pounds (40 kilos) or over 265 pounds (120 kilos). December is one of the chillier months in Italy, the average temperature in Rome is 50°F but during the night it is 40°F. Days are at their shortest, so don't expect the sun to shine high long after 4 in the afternoon.
