Bel endroit, des bénévoles sont heureux de vous donner des explications, le bar du jardin est agréable, le quartier liberty autour de la maison vaut le détour.

La visita guidata di circa un'ora attraverso le tante stanze della Villa Necchi Campiglio nel centro di Milano vale davvero il viaggio ed il tempo utilizzato! Il ragazzo che ci ha accompagnato è stato davvero gentile e conosceva molto bene la villa e le sue collezioni d'arte. Poi c'è il parco con la piscina, la caffetteria ed il bookshop. Tutto molto ben organizzato. Davvero bello tutto! Complimenti a tutte le persone che si dedicano a questi beni con competenza, amore e professionalità...

Una esperienza di casa di industriali e nobili con una cura del gusto dell'arredo a cavallo tra il 1930 e anni seguenti.
Una immersione di gusto e cura.
La volontaria Lea eccezionale con la sua cultura a spiegare dal marmo al disegno di matasse fino ad una vasca da bagno. Con passione e partecipazione ci ha fatto Immergere. Fare esperienza della casa.
Non parole scritte e studiate sui siti. No, no parole reali.
Merita davvero la visita.
Sembrano tanti 15 euro ma li vale.
Fa capire cosa era vivere in quell'epoca tra il fare e produrre (industriale) e la cultura del bello.
Brava Lucia al negozio.
Siamo diventati soci FAI io e mia mamma oggi grazie a loro due.

Villa Necchi Campiglio is a classic home in the heart of Milan. It is reflects a period of yesteryear with period furnishing, lighting, etc. The gardens are splendid and the restaurant on the property is a pleasant respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Normally you wouldn't think directly of the Villa Necchi Campiglio when visiting Milan. But I think it should definitely be up there! It was amazing.

Nichée dans un charmant jardin fleuri au cœur de la ville, la villa est d’une élégance rare. Objets, meubles, œuvres d’art, tout composé un ensemble apaisant, raffiné et luxueux.

The villa is indeed beautiful if you love art deco and rationalist styles which I do. The grounds are equally beautiful with some magnificent magnolia trees and of course the famous pool.
Inside the villa, there are lots to see but the highlights for me are: the collection of Chinese/Japanese figurines and vases; the library which looked so inviting I wanted to plop on the sofa and read one of the many books in the collection; the artwork; the dressing area and wardrobes as well as the huge bathrooms.
Do ask the very friendly and helpful guides for explanations.
My only gripe is the price of entry at 15euros which is steep when you compare it to some of the best art museums in Europe.

This lovely Art Nouveau villa is probably not on the Hit List of the first-time visitor to Milan, but it deserves to be. It is delightful - quiet and peaceful and full of beautiful objects and artefacts, all in the setting of a 1930s villa specifically commissioned from the architect Piero Portaluppi. And all in a lovely garden setting too. Very close to Palestro metro station.

Se ci si dimentica che è una villa molto grande, in un parco altrettanto grande... al centro di Milano, non sembra così imponente.
Ma appena si attraversa la soglia tutto cambia. Le tre parole fondamentali sono spazio, luce, eleganza.
Anche solo per le finestre si potrebbe fare un convegno di architettura; in qualunque punto della villa ci si sente a proprio agio, mai oppressi da orpelli o decorazioni pesanti.
Le soluzioni tecniche adottate sono moderne oggi nonostante abbiano quasi novant'anni. Le opere d'arte, tante, sono di assoluto pregio.
La luce? Beh, il seminterrato, oggi utilizzato come sala convegni, è naturalmente luminoso.
Credo basti.

Villa costruita negli anni 30 presenta interni perfettamente arredati ed allestiti con architetture e materiali di gran gusto, pregio ed opere d'arte. Bellissimo il giardino e la zona piscina perfetto per una pausa rigenerante rimanendo nel centro città.

The tour takes place approx every hour. I suggest you contact them through their mail address you can find on their web site. I know they organize tours also in the English language.

Villa Necchi è attrezzata per accogliere visitatori con difficoltà motorie. Per maggiore sicurezza ti chiederemmo però di contattarci dal mercoledì alla domenica al n. 0276340121 per organizzare al meglio la visita.

I found your reviews very helpful. Can I get advance tickets to the Villa Necchi or was it easy to just go and purchase.
Interesting to note the tour is 1.5 hours.

Is the house only accessible with a guided tour? One of the reviews mentioned Sunday afternoons (times?) are possible without a guided tour - is this correct?

My experience is that there are tour times / limited number of people admitted but accessible. You might want to check when you arrive in Milan about accessibility (hotel concierge) but I think you can get in with ease....I don't remember having an issue and I've been twice.
