Una volta era pieno di ristoranti molto belli e dove si mangiava molto bene adesso sono stati generalmente sostituiti da ristoranti un po' deludenti e lo stesso discorso vale per i negozi della zona.

Navigli is a charming area in the heart of Milan, known for its network of canals. However, don’t set your expectations on a Venetian experience—you’d be disappointed. Instead, think of it as a vibrant neighborhood about a 15-minute walk from the Duomo, blissfully free from the throngs of tourists that flood the city center.
Navigli has its own unique appeal, with lively bars and restaurants that truly come alive later in the evening. It’s a bit like discovering a suburb of Milan that hasn’t succumbed to the usual tourist hype, offering a more authentic slice of local life. The atmosphere is relaxed, the vibe is energetic, and it’s a refreshing change of pace from the busy streets around the Duomo.
My only word of caution is to prepare for mosquitoes, especially in the height of summer. With the canals’ stagnant water, it’s practically a mosquito haven. But don’t let that deter you—if you’re in the center of Milan, a walk to Navigli after dark is well worth it. It’s a safe and intriguing way to experience a different side of this fabulous city.
And if you’re looking for a place to stay, there are some excellent hotel choices in the area. I highly recommend checking out my review of Aethos Hotel, which perfectly captures the vibrant yet cozy essence of Navigli.

The interconnected 5 canals date back from middle ages.
We found a cool vacation ambiente here, plenty of al fresco drinking&dining.
Most of the places along the Navigli look the same, but watch out! Some tourist traps are waiting for you! Check prices before sitting down!
Great for a pit stop and people watching.
Once a month, the last Sunday of each month, you can enjoy a huge flea market along the canal (Mercato dell'Antiquariato sul Naviglio Grande) .

I state that some Milanese will hate me for this review but I can not give absolutely 5 stars because for me they represent perfection, unique beauty. Yes the Navigli are suggestive details, certainly one of the nerve centers of Milan and for this I visited them, I ate on the Navigli, but Alas I must also mention the unpleasant notes.
I love traveling to touch and see the. Cultures and traditions of every place, for a certain moment causes stalls or rather tuc-tuc every meter seemed to be in a completely different place.
In my opinion, canals should be preserved, enhanced and better managed by the municipal administration. As is done for the Canal Port of Cesenatico. During the day the canals of Milan are not exactly beautiful to see.

I felt like we had been mugged! The photos show the very small strip where there are some cute restaurants. The majority of this cruise travels the industrial area with ugly buildings and graffiti. It tries to fill in time by returning and going for a tiny turn in the other direction. This is a waste of good money. Go on foot to see the tiny precinct. Milan is NOT the city for canal cruising.

Personally we did not see in the Navigli canal a place that marveled us. The hospitality businesses we saw were not of a great standard. Although we finally had a great lunch in Signorvino, at the beginning. A wine shop turned tavern.
The canal is somewhat uncomfortable to walk as it has stones that do not make the walk very pleasant. We struggled to find a taxi for the return, and had to walk back downtown

A short distance from the centre are these famous canals. There is even a tram directly from the square by the duo. Here you can stroll and enjoy car-free zones along the water. Often there is live music too. Generally speaking, it is cheaper here than in the city centre, so take the opportunity to drink and eat something here.

We enjoyed 8 nights in excellent Maison Borella on the canal side but in July all excursions were very warm and humid.
Every night is party night your room needs to be back from that as ours was.
Good restaurants are limited ours the hotels “Bugande” excellent.
The mosquitoes are small and not much trouble.
I would recommend not visiting in July and August.

The Navigli district is one of the trendiest and most picturesque in Milan, where the lively spirit coexists with the quiet atmosphere of its alleys. Easily accessible by metro or tram stop P.ta Genova, the Navigli area is so called because it includes the Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese, the canal system designed by Leonardo da Vinci, commissioned by Ludovico il Moro, to allow navigation of Lake Maggiore to Milan.

Bus from the airport to Milan Centrale station. Metro starting from centrale FS to afforiFN( Yellow line) , Change station: Go from Via Ciccotti (affori Fn M3) to Via Stephenson 74(Green line) . You will find the hotel 700 meters from the last station.

Bonjour,
je ne peux que confirmer c qui a déjà été dit : ça n'est pas le meilleur quartier pour résider... Très touristique donc bruyant !
Nous étions un peu exentré du côté de la gare de Milan. C'est plus calme et facilement accessible à pied ou en transports.
