I was with my son for a city trip to Milan and i thought to offer to ourselves a more educated view on Italian cuisine. And doing this tour was great. We both loved it. Ilaria and Nadia are very well prepared, we learnt many practical things, in a funny and easy to remember way. Meeting people from other geographies was very rich. We definitely recommend it

This was a great experience - Ilaria made the class fun and interesting, and Fernando made sure everything was running smoothly in the background. Considering the price covers snacks and drinks, a 3 hour class, and a 3 course meal (including wine), it's very good value.

Ilaria was unfortunately sick, yet we had a great afternoon. Her two kitchen helpers took over and brought us into the world of Italian cuisine. Have learned a lot of tips and tricks and laughed a lot.
The food was very delicious, anytime again !

Ilaria is a very prepared and attentive chef, we spent a beautiful time shared with people from all over the world. Highly recommended, bravo Ilaria

Really rude chef. Chef Ilaria made me feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in. We booked this place due to the high reviews but are surprised due to the rude and rather insulting treatment received.
We arrived early for the course but were happy to wait outside. Upon the doors opening we walked inside. I said Bonjourno but was reciprocated with “why didn't you ring the bell in a telling off sort of tone.” We explained that we messaged to say we were outside and were responded with “we don't have time to check messages as we are far too busy”. From here on the rudeness continued.
I was vegetarian and I simply asked to confirm they had noted me to be vegetarian and was responded to “yes your husband sent us message to tell us” followed with a rolling of the eyes.
She proceeded to say that everything would be jointly made and shared by all. So I simply queried whether meat would be prepared separately again received a rude toned response telling me that that veg and non-veg would be jointly prepared and not separated.
She then singled us out and gave us less ingredients and smaller utensils compared to others in the cooking class.
In contrast her assistant was pleasant and
actually noticed the rudeness we received and came over to apologise to us.
The cooking class would have been enjoyable with a nicer friendlier chef. We have done many cooking classes around the globe but this is the first time we received such a rude and unwelcome treatment. We would hope this is not due to our Indian origin.

My daughter and I scheduled a visit to my granddaughter who is enrolled in a study abroad program in Milan. I was researching fun activities to do that would fit in between her classes and internship. I saw the opportunity for a cooking class with Chef Ilaria in her Chef and the City establishment (great play on words) and we all had a memorable experience. Chef Ilaria was funny, welcoming, professional and patient. We learned how to make pasta for lasagna from scratch, made the fresh garnish for Bruschetta and made Tiramisu. Ilaria was a great group leader and instructor. Being native New Yorkers, we love our Italian food and it was a pleasure to learn how to make an Italian meal with an authentic Italian chef. Highly recommend this experience.

Very organized and well planned. We made 3 courses and there was plenty of food to try! Great dinner idea for families traveling together and looking for an educational and entertaining activity.

This was the most amazing class! My travel companions and I enjoyed everything about the cooking class! The food was excellent and we all laughed and had a great time! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

We loved our experience at Chef and the City. Ilaria and her other side chef are as amazing. So informative, patient, knowledgeable and friendly.
We cooked beautiful meals, including our own pasta and we had so much food to eat, including snacks when we first arrived. It was easy to find catching the tram.
I would definitely do this again.

Buongiorno,sarei interessato a regalare l’esperienza a due studentesse di quasi 16 anni di intercultura che provengono da Hong Kong e sono in italia per l’anno all’estero. Vorrei sapere se l’esperienza è adatta a loro ed il costo . Parlano fluentemente inglese. Grazie
