A repulsive welcome (change of team) by waving my hand to go out without an explanation and without a smile.
Once this unpleasant barrier of the ticket has been purchased, the museum has very beautiful pieces but is very poorly organized: we pass from one era to the next and return to it. We spend our time going from one era to another with a look back. In short no logic and at least not the chronology. Anyway, we're lost. A magnificent statue of the giants of Monte Parma is on the ground floor but the others on the top floor, etc. Too bad.

Very nice, super interesting, a beautiful collection of Sardinian history, told in a chronological path with simple but effective installations, which enhance the works without hiding them! The picture gallery is also very beautiful, with suggestive temporary exhibitions. The price (9€) is absolutely commensurate with the experience! Very kind also the staff, a must in your holiday in Cagliari

On the top of the hill, going up from La Cattedrale Santa Maria (Cattedrale Di Santa Cecilia), are a set of museums. Each has a separate entrance fee. We visited the Archeological Museum, and entrance to the Pinacoteca comes with it. The Archeological Museum is the first museum in the group and Pinacoteca the last. Maybe both are included so you walk between them and then decide to also see the museums in between. In any case the Archeological Museum was quite interesting. The information was well presented and there are 4 floors of things to see. It is not a large museum so you can see it all in an hour or two if you take your time. We went to the Nuragica Museum the next day and I would recommend doing the opposite. Go first to the Nuragica Museum to get a full immersion explanation and then come to this museum to see the actual artifacts. The Pinacoteca was much smaller with beautiful religious paintings. Both museums are worth visiting.

A small museum that superbly illustrates the evolution of man’s capacities in the different eras before Rome. It has truly unique pieces of great artistic value

In a modern building in the Castello, high in the centre of Cagliari, the archaeological museum presents a beautiful collection of objects, dating back to the nuragic civilization, which occupied Sardinia in its early days, and reaching the times of Roman occupation.

Huge and magnificent museum displaying some of the best archaeological findings in Sardinia. Marvellous the bronzes and the giants, emblematic pieces of Nouragic civilization. It is inside of the Museums Complex of Cagliari.

Excellent little museum. It was 9 Euros for adults, and worth the price. There are 3 floors and the exhibits wind around. A/C which is great coming out of the heat. Although the museum is small, there are many little and big artifacts. My favorite was on the third floor with a lot of statues. There are also various hands-on replicas that you can touch - so this is good for kids. It is a very tough walk up-hill, but worth it. You can also use he ticket to other museums in the complex. I only had about 1 hour, but you could easily spend a couple, wish I had more time.

Fascinating museum with some very unusual cultural exhibits. Good value and includes entry to the art museum. Fairly small, but packed with items I have never seen before. Worth a visit.

Do not miss! very neat and with excellent restoration. There is also a touch screen on which you can project the sculptures in more detail

We visited Cagliar in April and went to the museum on a Bank Holiday, which meant the entrance was free. It was lovely museum, well laid out and very interesting. We try to go to local museums if we get a chance, something interesting to do, especially on a rainy day.

Schoolchildren have an area in which they can leave backpacks while touring the museum, but it is unsecured. The staff seem very helpful, and I'm sure they would be willing to put luggage behind the desk for visitors. I did not see any lockers for luggage at the facility.
