上午去了火山，下午换上了美丽的裙子就来到了剧院。酒店门口就是剧院，下午人多起来，下午的西西里阳光明媚，也是观景的好时间。整个行程基本1个小时可以搞定。这个圆形剧场建于公元前3世纪，在罗马时代公园2世纪有进行了翻修。前几天看了在锡拉库扎的排名第一的剧院，近水楼台也要来看看西西里排名第二的剧院。由于建在悬崖上，可以眺望远处的大海和火山，享受一半海水一半火山的美景。所以也是世界上最有特色的希腊剧院，直到现在还在使用。

非常壮观的古剧场。背面是大海和火山。残存的古希腊神柱，远古的观众席，非常壮观。优于其他地方的希腊剧场。

跟随着古希腊和罗马人的脚步，我们来到希腊大剧院。一进门，你就会震惊于古代建筑建造师的精湛工艺。进去之后里面大片般的景象绝对让你终生难忘。只有当你走到上面，坐在最顶层的位置上，才会被埃特纳火山和贾迪尼纳克斯的景色深深地震撼。

镇上甚至更胜一筹。记得你在哪儿吗？人们和小商店都很棒。尝尝披萨，也许是一份甘蓝沙拉？小餐馆都提供天然食品，而在你周围的废墟景色真是太神奇了。

2019年1月，我们在西西里岛上进行为期12天的环岛自由行，这期间我参观了卡塔尼亚的希腊剧场，这个剧场至今为止还可以做为演出场所使用！锡拉库萨的希腊剧场！后来还参观了陶尔米纳的圆形希腊剧场！这个剧场选址在一处临海的较矮山顶上，因此这个剧场在蓝蓝的海的映衬下格外美丽！想想古人几百年前，上千年前就可以在海边的剧场享受音乐和美景，令我这个今人太羡慕啦！！！

We are considering going to a concert that starts at 9:30 in the evening, so it will be too dark to see the spectacular view here. We have only been here during the day to wander around and view the theater as a tourist attraction. It seems all the seats would be good, but wonder about the acoustics. Does anyone know from personal experience if it is necessary, or worth it, to pay for the more expensive tickets to enjoy the concert, or would you say all the seats are good? Thank you for your help.

As we haven't attended a concert there, we can't really answer this question. Some tourist did come in during the day singing and I did notice that the accoutics were excellent from the top, centre at the back where we sat most of the time enjoying the view. You should still be able to have a lovely night view as the coast is lit, and with any luck perhaps even moonlight.

We are staying at a hotel at the other end of the town; it looks to be about a 1 mile walk to the theater.
Any suggestions of guides to use; or just wing it?

It is about a km or so from one end to the other, but it's a lovely walk (especially when the weather cooperates. There are many shops and restaurants along the way to occupy your eyes and your time. I've been there a few times and I'd say "wing it!"
