We had a wonderful tour and lunch with wine pairings today at Baracchi with another couple. Filippo our guide was absolutely wonderful and patient, informative and fun! The lunch and pairings were exquisite - the service impeccable. The surroundings are beautiful. This is a tour not to be missed! They offer 2 , 3 or 4 courses for lunch depending on how much you want to spend or eat. Very accommodating to all. They understand wine. They understand service. Excellent and highly recommended!

Efter rum tid fik tjenerne lidt usystematisk ryddet vores bord, og dækket op igen. Ventetiden på maden var det værd.
I træernes skygge og til cikadernes sang fik vi lækre små anretninger og et dejligt glas vin til.

Abbiamo trascorso
Una serata tranquilla a Cortona passeggiando e poi avevamo prenotato la cena in questo ristorante posto strategicamente all’inizio del corso. Personale gentile; pochi piatti ma molto ben cucinati. Negozio annesso per qualche regalino.

This is the most beautiful location, friendly and helpfull staff.
The food at the restaurant was some of the best food we've ever tried. 5 stars for this place, fully deserved!

Davvero molto buono ;ottimo il cibo i vini il servizio in generale .Location perfetta lo si incontra non appena si arriva nella piazza .

This restaurant is the place to be! Atvthe entrance it looks like a standard wine and focaccia bar, but when you enter and walk downstairs, you will find the restaurant surrounded by wines.
Every dish we had was of highest quality we ever had, especially the tuna! And a magnificent selection of wines!
Personnel is friendly, atmosphere great, hence the place to be, cerianly when at the end the total price is significantly lower than you would expect for such a wonderful experience!

We visited from our hotel in Cortona and the venue were great in setting up our evening.
We had a wine tour at 5pm followed by a brilliant tasting menu for dinner at Il Falcionere. The sommelier took our tour and then served our wine later that evening, by which time he knew our tastes!
The setting was stunning, and food brilliant. It seemed like it was mostly hotel guests eating at the restaurant but I would certainly recommend others to book in if staying nearby.

We booked the wine tour and three course lunch with wine pairing. €85 seemed a very reasonable price for such an informative tour and an incredible lunch at a Michelin starred restaurant.
Our already high expectations were surpassed! Francesco was a great tour guide. He was welcoming and friendly, extremely knowledgeable, very happy to answer questions and totally brought the experience to life. Thanks to Giacomo, the resident boxer dog for accompanying us on the tour. A lovely dog is always a welcome addition.
The wines were delicious and the lunch was nothing short of a masterpiece.
The owner Benny Baracchi came to chat with us and was very friendly.
There was no hard sell of pressure to purchase wines but they were so good we bought a case or two to enjoy at our villa and back in the U.K.
I’d highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates good food and wine, and also for the amazing Tuscany views from this beautifully maintained property!

We had a wonderful wine tasting and are excited to take delivery of our wine once it arrives in the US. The owner gave us an informative and fun tour, we learned how to open a bottle with a saber and best of all, the wine was fantastic. Everyone at the winery was knowledgable and enthusiastic. While we didn't take part in the lunch, we saw a great set up for those who did. The grounds were beautiful and it was a fun afternoon.

We visited this winery after booking onto a 12pm tour. The winery is part of a large family owned complex which also contains a Relais Chateaux hotel called Il Falconiere (you won't see any signs for Baracchi on the road itself). Our party was myself, my fiancee and my in-laws, one of whom has limited mobility and can only walk short distances with sticks. We were some of the first to arrive so we were sat at tables on the terrace. Once other people started to arrive (some of whom were guests of the hotel) one of the members of staff asked if we would like a lift in a car to the winery (200m along gravel path). This was a great help for my mother-in-law and she was whisked off to the winery while said member of staff gave us an introduction to *his* wines. Turns out the member of staff giving our tour was one of the owner's sons, Benedetto (which I hope I spelt correctly), who seems to be in charge of wine making.
Benedetto was very friendly and funny, he obviously knew everything about the vineyard as it sounds like he has been the driving force behind a lot of local parcel (vineyard) acquisitions. We had a quick tour of the champagniere where the sparkling wines are stored for second fermentation (where we met my mother-in-law). We then walked around into the main warehouse where the fermentation tanks were in action. Again, Benedetto was very informative and very patient with some questions that were asked several times. The skies then opened and we were all whisked back to the reception by car.
We were treated to a glass of sparking Sangiovese (which Baracchi apparently pioneered several decades ago) and some focaccias. We were then split into two groups, those who had booked lunch and those who hadn't. We hadn't so I can't comment on the tasting lunch. However, we retired to a lovely cool tasting room bounded by wine racks where we sat with Benedetto and simply chatted for about an hour. We tried at least 4 wines, each one a healthy pour to allow you to fully taste both with and without cheese/bread/meat. Baracchi makes something like 15 different wines so they focus on less wines to taste but better volumes. Which we enjoyed. We tried a white that flies off the shelf, a lovely syrah, a pinot noir which blew my nose off and a lovely rounded 50:50 syrah/cab sav which was my favourite.
The winery does shipping and my in-laws ordered a case of 6 for around 30euro postage. I'll definitely look at ordering some more in future.
On this trip my fiancee and I have visited more wineries than I can count, this was by far the best experience!
