This was such a great experience. We drove in a row all through the Tuscan countryside. We stopped for a short rest in a little village and had some focaccia. The best part was tasting wine and appetizers at the winery that had been in the same family since the 1400s. Make sure that you can drive a stick shift as the vehicles are manual and from the 1960s.

Overall this is good fun snd worth doing but a few things to note.
Firstly you MUST be competent at driving a manual (stick shift) car. These are old cars without synchromesh gear boxes. Our trip was hampered by someone who couldn’t do a hill start, rolled back and crashed the car. So the whole group had to hang around waiting for a new car. Then the same person had another issue. We wasted so much time waiting for drivers who had no idea how to drive manual cars. We were in a big group too (7 cars) which were too many for the tour leader to control. Subsequently we didnt get to do some of the tour and missed out on the stop for photos.
Secondly the venue is quite a way outside Florence so you need to factor in a 60 euro round fare in a taxi to your costs.
Thirdly, there was no wine cellar or estate tour as described. We sat inside the whole time on a long table and got 3 small glasses of wine with no offer of a top up. The food was fine though.
Also i don’t understand the pricing. It should be per car not per head and why is there a 15 euro fuel charge when you are already paying over 200 euros?
Overall I am still pleased we did it and maybe we were just unlucky but the tour is not as described.

So much fun!! Our group was a global representation of good people having fun touring Tuscany hillsides in tiny Fiat 500s. Pietro was our guide. He was funny, witty and kept everyone safe. My only word of caution, organize a pre planned trip back to Florence. We could NOT get a taxi to return us and walking to the train station (25 minutes away) is very much less than ideal.

This is a must activity to all those who love cars and wine. Bella, our guide was amazing and made this tour the best experience possible. We drove through the Tuscan country side in vintage Fiat 500s and ended with a wine pairing with cheese and charcuterie at the end. We will do this again next time we visit!

Definitely recommend such a great day.
A decent drive on country roads through Tuscany!
The roads are fairly quiet and easy for anyone worried about stick (and on the right hand side of the road for those from left hand countries).
A bit odd that they ask a 15 euro cash payment for fuel when you get there when you’re already paying quite a bit for this activity

Wow! This was an AWESOME way to drive around in a cool vintage car and see some beautiful scenery! The wine and tasty food was the perfect ending to a great tour. Alessandro was so informative and just a great tour guide! The weather was perfect and this will be a trip we will always remember!!

So much fun! Driving the vintage fiats through the countryside you saw incredible views (FYI use restrooms before— there are none at the meeting place). Alessandro was a wonderful tour guide. The fiat tour ended with a quaint farmhouse where the group got to know each other as well as local wine and food. Alessandro guided us through information on the Tuscany region, wine, and Italian food culture. We cannot recommend this tour, and Alessandro, enough!

A taxi would be a 5 to 7 minute breeze, piece of cake. If you're feeling adventurous you could ride bus 36 to the CAMPI LUNGHI stop. that'll take roughly 20/25 minutes.

Yes you have to book in advance to reserve your seat in the tour as we have a lot of requests as of now.

Hi, No problem for the possibility of riding with the guide, just put it in the notes of the booking form, and the guide will be informed. Otherwise, consider the possibility of a Vespa tour ; it's a lot of fun and the requirement is only a valid car drivers licence and the ability to ride a bicycle !

Hi, no deposit needed. But i remember that the driver would need to fill in an agreement form before you start the tour just in case things happen :)

I see reviews stating full day tours with the fiat. But don't see the full day tours to book online. Is it possible to combine 2 tours for a longer tour. Such as the lunch and the sunset tour? If not, trying to figure out which fiat tour would be the best. Thank you

Thank you for your question. The full day tour would be the Grand Chianti Hills tour ,which is from 9am-5pm. Includes lunch and wine tasting with the dramatic hillside views, tons of photo ops and the joy of driving the traditional Vintage Fiat 500! Other tours include shorter drives with picnic lunch and wine tasting poolside (pool is available for use by our guests).

Hi, this seems to be a wonderful concept you guys have come up with. Just to provide a background: We are a family of three (my brother, my mom and I).
I have the following questions:
1) Would it be possible to book two cars between me and my brother? 2) Although I love wine, I am not too keen on having it during this trip (since I have to spit it out anyway due to my driving responsibilities). Would that lower my costs?
3) I would be traveling separately to Chianti - so would this trip be solely to Chianti or are we covering Fiesole too?

Certainly you can request a 2nd car in the notes section of your booking!
Our Wine Tasting takes place at the end of the drive, so all guests are able to partake in the wine and food tasting!
Fiesole is the opposite direction of where we head into the Chianti HIlls.

Technically yes, for renting any car in Europe. On the other hand we never had an issue with people that didn't have international driver's license so it should be absolutely ok.
