Good Day, I'm interested in the Cinque Terre tour - can you please tell me how many people are typically on the tour in May, and what is the maximum number of people (i.e. is this a small group or large group tour). And, what type of coach do you use for transport? Thank you
Hi,
My adult daughter and I took the tour in mid-Dec, low season. We absolutely loved it! We booked it last minute because we loved the pasta cooking class and Pisa/wine tour by WALKABOUT FLORENCE company.
It was a long 12-hour day but well paced and very reasonably priced. The bus is nice but packed with about 50-60 people but you have 2 very nice local tour guides, so break up into two groups. I definitely recommend paying for the lunch add on option because it’s delicious. We did the optional hike and loved it! Be sure to bring extra cash for tip, snacks or souvenirs—the smaller towns do not accept credit cards. Caveat: you may want to avoid booking this tour on a rainy day due to the mostly outdoor nature of the tour.
Tip: after a long tour day, you will come back tired and hungry, highly recommend having dinner at the nearby central market, within walking distance from the bus drop off point, which has a very nice international food court upstairs on the second level (open only in the evenings). Alternatively, get reservations at Za Za restaurant, great food at reasonable price, very popular local restaurant. Best of luck.
