This baluardo is in the northwest of the walls of Lucca. It has a very large open space on top, with a circular stone area that may have been part of the defenses at one point.
The area underneath of the baluardo is open to walk through, though the rooms are mostly empty. I believe they are also used as an event space.
Very interesting space to walk though if you are interested in any sort of history as you can walk where the protectors of Lucca walk hundreds of years ago and peer out of the defenses as they would have.

C'est la partie nord du mur d'enceinte de la cité médiévale de Lucca. Maintenant c'est plutôt un parc tranquille avec du gazon bien coupé. C'est une sorte de pointe à la Beauvant. De beau reste de mur médiéval. Il reste inclus dans la balade des quatres kilomètres de mur qui entours la ville de Lucca.

The town of Lucca has turned this rather interesting artifact of the old bulwark system into a mini-outdoor art installation with some modern sculpture and the ability to see ruins of some of the older rooms under the bulwark. They do need to place some sort of description as to what the rooms may have been used for, but imagination would place troops and their living quarters or arms rooms in there spaces. Very interesting to see by itself and a nice place to visit on a very warm day.
