Lovely Gardens

Poor Robert L, if he doesn't appreciate the gardens ' not much here', then one wonders of he should be travelling. The gardens are beautiful, centred around the months and seasons. The fountains were a joy to behold on a hot sunny day as was the greenery. An oasis. Lucca is quite a quiet tow, but this provided an even more tranquil place to reflect on the beauty of the Palazzo.

Beautiful garden

The gardens are a spectacular oasis in the heart of the city, even the rain couldn’t dampen their charm.
The house clearly still needs a lot of restoration and money spending on it but what has been done so far tells its story well. The medical instruments on display are rather gruesome but interesting.

Giardini incantevoli e lo scalone del Marchese del Grillo

La costruzione dell'affascinante Palazzo Pfanner, risale al 1660. La villa è tuttora di proprietà della omonima famiglia che ne continua la valorizzazione con costanti restauri e l'apertura ai visitatori.
I giardini sono incantevoli e meritano senz'altro una visita con i suoi piani erbosi, le conche di limoni ed i giochi d'acqua. Ma anche la villa con i suoi monumentali scaloni, le sale laterali riccamente ammobiliate e le stanze con una esposizione di strumenti medici ne chirurgici di fine 800, appartenuti a Pietro Pfanner, medico e sindaco di Luccadal 1920 al 22.
La villa è altresì famosa per il film "ritratto di signora" interpretato da Nicole Kidman e John Malkovich. E soprattutto per il "Marches e del Grillo" di Alberto Sordi, nella scena dello scalone.

Schöner Palazzo mit Garten

Sehr schöner Palazzo und ein wirklich schöner Garten. Aus meiner Sicht ist jedoch der Eintritt überteuert: 6,50 Euro für Erwachsene, 4,50 Euro reduziert ( in unserem Fall ein Teenager).
Sowohl Garten als auch Palazzo sind doch sehr klein.

Ottimo se si vuole passare del tempo in un meraviglioso giardino in tranquillità.
Sicuramente una tappa piacevole quando si passa per Lucca, non essendo in una posizione totalmente centrale l'atmosfera è molto tranquilla.
Interessanti anche le sale del museo, seppur poche, accessibili tramite una scalinata molto ampia sottostante ad un portico che fa da cornice alla vista.
