Our guide asked who was interested in doing a wine tasting and almost everyone’s hand popped up. At Saio we walked through the vineyards on our own, reading signs labeling the types of grapes along the scenic way. We got to a pavilion with picnic tables where we received our wine tasting and food with a magnificent view of Assisi in the background.

We had a very pleasant experience here. I'm afraid I cannot remember her name other than it began with an M, but she was one of the daughters of the proprietor of the land and the winery and what a pleasant host she was indeed. Very informative, a small taste of all the wines and an insight into the business, this was indeed a must experience if you are staying in Assisi.
After your wine tasting and short education on the wines, you are allowed to walk through about a kilometer or so to a beautiful spot over looking the town of Saint Francis. Here you are given a generous platter of cheese and cured meats and fine Italian bread and olive oil.
Very Much worth the trip. Beware however if you are walking be prepared to walk on the road or organize a good taxi there and back, although the walk back is more suitable as it is a little closer but you will still have to walk along country roads, but with beautiful views.

After some information about the different kind of wines we walked true a beautiful vineyard with an even more beautiful view on Assisi. The picnic was tasty and we enjoyed it a lot.

Nous avons fait une très belle dégustation. L’hôte a pris le temps de répondre à nos questions et nous a bien expliqué les produits. Je recommande cette expérience.

We were in Arezzo for my friends birthday and decided to book the wine tasting and picnic as a birthday treat. It was lovely. As the only English speakers in the group our host was very attentive and spoke perfect English. Wine and picnic was simple and yummy. Definitely recommended

Fantastisk dag sammen med vår familie i SAIO’s vakre omgivelser og vingårder. Vinsmakingen var bra med god informasjon og gode viner. Flott tur gjennom vinåkrene til verandaen der vi fikk servert maten. God mat og generøse mengder mat og vin.
Eneste vi hadde å utsette var prisen for barn. For 16 € hadde vi ønsket et mer tilpasset måltid for barn og noe alternativ drikke til vinen. Våre barn spiste svært lite av den serverte maten så prisen var høy.
Vi anbefaler verten å lage en barnemeny, eller la barn gå gratis.
Takk for en flott og minneverdig dag.

Hermosa degustación de vinos muy ricos. No pudimos hacer el picnic porque lloviznaba.Éramos sólo dos y nos dieron la charla privada y no pudimos terminar todo lo que nos dieron para probar. La señorita se esforzó en hablar en español como Atencion, ya que éramos los únicos de ese día
Es especial para los que llegan a Asís en automóvil o motocicleta. Hay que tener en cuenta que está a 5 km de la estación de trenes y que el bus más cercano acerca hasta a 1,8 km y el taxi sólo de ida cuesta 20€. El camino a pie tiene unas vistas hermosas, pero no hay banquinas para peatones por lo cual es riesgoso caminar por allí, aunque algunos lo hacen caminando por el pasto o sobre la orilla del asfalto cuando no hay espacio.

A thoroughly pleasant experience. We were met by Francesca, who was very welcoming and knowledgeable. All of the wines were delicious. The food in the picnic was local, fresh and tasty. This is also very good value for money.

Salve, volevo informazioni in merito ad una visita presso la vostra azienda. Siamo in due e saremo a Perugia dal 20 al 23. Quanto dura la visita e in cosa consiste? Premesso che siamo due profani mi piacerebbe saperne di più. Quali sono poi i costi a persona?
