Perugia is often an underrated city but offers many artistic ideas, fun, concerts, every time it is a surprise; the square with the locals, frequented by students, the various ice cream parlors, the Palace and the fountain that fill the square with magnificence.

In the wonderful historic center of beautiful Perugia, is the magnificent Piazza IV Novembre, the hub and convergence of the 5 main roads of the medieval city. It is a truly extraordinary place, symmetrical in shape and with the natural slope of the ground, on which the major and important monuments of the city overlook. A true triumph of beauty and magnificence, with the Fontana Maggiore in the center and, on two opposite sides, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the Palazzo dei Priori: wonderful! In the square are held the most important city events, in addition to the walk of citizens and tourists. Charming and spectacular place, absolutely worth visiting!!!!

Certainly one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, rich in history, all the buildings that have made the history of the city overlook here.
Here you will find bars and other commercial establishments for a quick snack.

Perugia is a lively student city, and it's particularly lively in the evenings. What's special about Perugia is that you can get to the different levels of the city using escalators and lifts.

The main square of Perugia is named after November 4th. This date does not mean anything to ordinary tourists, but for Italy it is the date of the end of the First World War. And not by virtue of his victory on the Italian front, but by the surrender of Austria-Hungary on November 3 in front of three times the superior forces of France, Britain, America and Italy. The small square is nevertheless the largest in the Old Town of Perugia with its medieval buildings. In Perugia, there was no Baron Haussmann as in Paris and Mussolini as in Rome, demolishing houses in blocks and paving wide boulevards. In Borgo Perugia, curvilinearity reigns. There is not a single straight line on either side of this square. This is due to the gradual formation of the ensemble of the square since Etruscan times. And despite this, the square is considered one of the most beautiful and harmonious in Italy. Like many squares in Italy's main cities, the square is based on the Roman Forum. Unlike most other cities in Perugia, the Town hall and Cathedral squares are not separated. There are two in one: the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the Palazzo dei Priori. However, given that the Cathedral of San Lorenzo is turned only sideways to the square, and the Palace of the Priors is the main facade, the secular government dominates the square after all. In the center of the square is the Maggiore Fountain, the urban and visual center of the square. In the evening, when I visited here, some kind of holiday was celebrated in Perugia and a streetball court was installed on the square. It was awesome! A streetball in the middle of a medieval building. The descendants of the Etruscans know how to relax!

Beautiful square, a few too many chocolate shops and few to remind you of Perugia but a fantastic square with a central fountain.
In my opinion, Siena remains the most beautiful square I have seen.

This square is a symbol of Perugia's historical past. Basilica San Lorenzo is located here. The stairs of Palazzo dei Piori are full of tourists. There is a fountain with a pool in the middle.
