Excellent experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly. It was like I was at home with a friend. Really knew the regional wine and cheese origins and we had a great conversation. Extremely informative. Would do this event again!

This was a great little thing to do in Basel. I got to taste great local cheeses - many of which you can’t find elsewhere. For the amount of cheese, time, and explanation provided - I think it should cost more. 🤷♀️
Would recommend doing the later option so you can taste wine with cheese.

Don’t book this tour. Did not come close to matching the description of tour advertised nor the itinerary provided with confirmation. Expected to learn a lot more of Old Town Basel and experience more tastings than 2 stops in less than 2 hours. Save your money to enjoy buying your own tastings at several of the many shops and any guide book would be more informative on history of Old Town and food production.

We are sorry to hear that you are advising others not to book this tour; despite it being loved by over 93% of the travelers; reviews will prove this. Upon checking, you tasted a selection of high quality chocolates, cheeses, and pastries, while exploring some of the old town of Basel
You also at the end tipped our guide well, mentioning you enjoyed the tour, therefore, it is strange if you were not happy, why you would give a sign that the tour was well done...

Michael was a great guide; in the short time we had with him he shared a lot about Basel as we hit the must-see sites. He knows his stuff, a history buff, and it was very pleasant to have spent time with him. It turned out we were the only two people on the tour and he didn’t cancel. That’s the kind of person he is; committed.

Cute local store with artisan Swiss chocolates and delicious cheeses. The owner provided great information as we enjoyed the selection. Came out of the tour wiser and satisfied.

A great session with a lot of varied cheeses to try 🧀 Absolute bargain led by a knowledgeable friendly guide. Combined this with the chocolate tasting and left absolutely full!

Interesting tasting session with a knowledgable guide. Good selection of chocolates to try (and buy to take home). Ended up being the only person on my tasting session, so it felt extra special!

Amazing day with spectacular scenery on Lake Lucerne and from the 7,000 ft Mt Pilatus. Michael was a knowledgable and attentive guide. He gave great advice to maximise our experience and smoothed the way through the different modes of transport including train, ferry, cog wheel railway, gondola and cable cars on an enjoyable day trip from Basel.

Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable about all things related to cheese. We tasted 6 different types of cheese and then 6 different types of chocolate. The cocoa beans are from different places worldwide but all chocolate was made in Switzerland. Amazing culinary experience.
