Also suitable for teenagers 😃
Our boys (16) were among themselves and obviously had great fun.
An hour of variety, fun and games without sitting in front of the monitor - the money was definitely worth it for us (even if it seems a lot at first)

We'd done all the rooms previously, so we were obviously excited when we found out that *finally* there was going to be a new room, because Room Escape Basel has by far some of the highest production quality of any escape room I've ever been to. But this new one, Nautilus, while fun, has two major flaws:
One is a spoiler for a puzzle, so I'll keep it vague, but it's always frustrating when a solution for a puzzle is "just keep trying, there's no hint but it'll just eventually work properly if you stumble into the right solution"
And the other is the reliance on AI-generated voices. The tech, while enticing, starts the experience off on a bad foot (they made a second intro video specifically for this game, and it's just a face moving weirdly on a head and body that don't move, as the camera zooms in and out somewhat haphazardly, while the monotone AI-generated voice drones on) - and then giving hints ingame via AI-generated voice really takes you out of the experience even more. Not to mention the voices inside the room are of course also AI-generated, and it's so hard to pay attention to those voices, it really takes you out of the experience. There aren't even many voice lines, so it really feels like they were too cheap to ask literally their own staff to do a quick voice recording, buy some old costumes at a charity shop and record the video. It drags the whole room experience down immensely.
We enjoyed the room: the other puzzles were clever, and it really feels like you're on a submarine, but those two details really impacted us. Before this I would've given them 5 stars, but this has singlehandedly dragged the rating down to 3.
I hope they stop relying on AI, because when they do it for the voices and videos, it makes you wonder what else they're using it for.

Played two rooms - Operation Delta Starfire and Curse of Yama. Both were amazing and our games master, Chris, was incredible. Really welcoming, made it fun and kept things moving!

Wir waren mit einer Schulklasse im Escaperoom. Die Schüler:innen lösten verschiedene Escaperäume und alle waren begeistert. Schön war auch die Flexibilität der Spielleiterinnen, die, als ein Raum technisch nicht funktionierte, die Schüler:innen sofort in einen anderen Raum brachten.

Von Anfang an ein super Erlebnis. Bereits der Wartebereich ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und man ist da schon in einer anderen Welt. Wir haben bereits einige verschiedene Anbieter von Escape Games erlebt. Dies hier war mit Abstand der beste! Bei Delta Starfire gibt's wirklich ganz neuartige Rätsel. Wir werden bestimmt noch die anderen Räume besuchen. Kompliment an die ganze Crew!

erstes Room-Escape-Erlebnis für mich/uns (es war: Operation Starfire), der Wahnsinn...
Abgesehen davon hatten wir noch brutal Verspätung (absolutes Chaos auf CH-Autobahnen) und kamen viel zu spät - Mira machte es trotzdem noch möglich! Super, danke!! TOP!

Bonjour, merci pour votre intérêt. Room Escape est recommandé dès 14 ans (8-13 accompagné par adultes).
Soi : si les jeunes de 8-13 ans veulent jouer eux-mêmes, vous pouvez réserver « Kids Escape » dans le scénario « Die Bibliothek ». Le prix pour 7 enfants est CHF 136.
Tous les jeux sont avalables en Anglais ou Allemand. N’hésitez pas de nous contacter en cas des autres questions.

Hi All,
Is this something that would be appropriate for families with young children? I think the 8 year old would get into it...I'm a bit worried as to the 4 year old...

I would probably contract the organizers directly and ask them to be on the safe side. It can be fun for a smart 8 year but I'm less sure for the younger one.
