Nice place to cool off and relax. Some music venues. Close to the lake. Many places to sit and sleep if needed. Can catch free bus or boat to the park.

Our Geneva correspondent, Sophia, offers us a relaxing walk in a large state park. This area is called Le Parc, public, La Grange, located on the left bank of the city of Geneva. Originally, this estate was created in 1660, with a succession of owners and was bequeathed to the city in 1917 by its last owner, William Favre (1843-1918). This politician expressed the wish that it would be intended for the approval of the population, and in a lasting manner. His wish was respected and it is engraved in stone at the entrance to this large park. Its entrance, through the main door, is monumental and decorated with two lions, by the sculptor Frédéric Guillaume Dufaux (1820-1872). Its original name is, La Grange à M. François, in 1706. This wooded estate has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1921, with its spectacular view of the Jura and Lake Geneva. Discovery of superb floral arrangements in the famous rose garden, created in 1946, known as the Rose Garden since 2021, with 200 varieties A pergola from 1851, and a mansion, built in 1768, known as the Villa La Grange, and a small building called, the Creamery, refreshment bar for abstinent women, in the summer of 1828. In the villa, possibility of guided but scheduled tours of the reception and ceremonial rooms, the family rooms, the kitchen of the staff quarters, and from the Italian-style library of Guillaume Favre (1770-1851), rich in 12,000 works, including 22 incunabula from the 14th century. Other facilities, a theater, called the orangery, from 1856, a performance stage, called Ella Fitzgerald, from 1996. Large play areas for children, including a paddling pool.

Kaldığımız Hotel Churchill'den 5-6 dakikalık yürüme mesafesinde bulunan bu 20 hektarlık park şehrin içinde ve de göl kenarında tam bir terapi merkezi gibi hizmet ediyor. Kuş cıvıltılarıyla beraber sessizlik ve sakinliğin hüküm sürdüğü spor ve piknik imkanı için mükemmel bir alternatif yer. Çeşmeleri çok güzel. Ayrıca çeşitli sanatsal objeleri de parkın muhtelif bölgelerinde görebilirsiniz. Çok büyük bir tenis merkezi de parkın içinde. Biz mayıs sonu haziran başında buradaydık. O gül bshçesini de görmek gerekir. Çok güzeldi.

We were out exploring this wonderful city and just happened across this park by accident. The timing was perfect as we have been walking quite a long time in the blazing sun and needed somewhere to rest for a while.
This beautiful park provided us with excellent shade on the benches and we watch the locals using it to its full extent.
It is beautifully maintained and there was a music festival on during our visit and it was full of a lot of bands playing from Little stages and lots of other activities all around.

A nice break from the busy Geneva centre. Pleasant setting for a stroll with a good series of paths to follow and lots of green space for sitting about. Great for families and sun bathers too. Old house is a nice centre piece and from a distance looks like a Manor House. Close up looks to be in need of some TLC. Place for a snack and a drink and also WCs. There was some kind of event being setup so probably a place for concerts etc. The rose garden with fountain near the front is a highlight to visit with lots of impressive looking shrubs and plants. Easy to walk to if you are walking along the front fountain side.
