i remeber you left me outside at new year eve ! just because i was single,i was trying to get a beer in untill then one of my favorite places but damn that was a bad move,such politic as only couples allowed i havent seen it even at venetian carnaval ,on that street i found other 20 bars

One of the best unique experiences in Amsterdam. Never seen a place like this before, the vibe that you get when you walk is indescribable. You have the feel the vibe yourself in order to understand what thousands of people before have meant to describe. Also very nice people that work here, because it was very VERY busy, but still serve everybody like they are their only customer.

Wat een leuke authentieke zaak. Deze zaak zit echt vol met sfeer vanwege de verhalen die bezoekers op de muren kunnen schrijven, en dit ook al jaren lang hebben gedaan. Naast ons zat een vriendengroep die blijkbaar vijf jaar geleden dit café hadden bezocht en toen een boodschap op de muur hadden geschreven. Ze kwamen terug om te kijken of die boodschap er nog was en zo hebben ‘m gevonden.

Είναι ένα τέρμα underground αισθητικής μαγαζί. Μπορείς μέσα να καπνίσεις χόρτο, να αράξεις και να πιεις καφέ. Για 3 καφέδες δώσαμε 10-12 ευρώ όποτε και από τιμές κομπλέ είναι. Έχει παντού κολλήματα αυτοκόλλητα που δίνει μια ευχάριστη αίσθηση urban περιβάλλοντος. Καλά είναι

I had heard a lot about this place in Amsterdam, but I can't say it was completely up to my expectations. What works for this bar is probably its location and definitely a very chilled vibe. But apart from that, overpriced drinks and rude staff are a bit of a kill joy, if I am completely honest. They hover around like hawks to stop you from using tobacco inside the pub. That's fair enough, but I am sure it can be done without a threatening tone :)

I can not compliment the place or the staff enough! This was my third visit and it was worth the 5 hour flight to Amsterdam just to sit in a place where I can have a drink, smoke my joint and just chill in a cool place!
Thank you to the staff who always try their best even when customers are being rude and getting on their nerves they stay cool, You guys RULE!!!!

I was at the bar enjoying my beer and when it was nearly finished I realized that there was a piece of metal, don’t know what it was but I went to the bar staff trying to explain the situation but they replied in a very rude way saying that wasn’t their problem and that they couldn’t do anything. I was with my friends so I don’t think they put something that weird in my beer. Horrible costumer service. Will never be back!!!!

The staff are amazing, the vibes are immaculate and the music choice is stellar, however, the price of the drinks is what makes this a 4 out of 5 instead of the full 5 stars.

Well, they said it was not a Coffee Shop any longer and point you in the direction of their sister cafe if you wish to buy. But you can come back and enjoy participating in the Hill Street Blues Cafe itself. I only went in June so am unsure about Winter time. It was pleasantly busy - nice atmosphere without being over-crowded. Hope this helps.

It was when I last went in April 👍 I’ve been at all different times & always seems busy to me but we always get a good table so never been a problem. Hope this helps :)

I presume banana's. They are no longer a coffeeshop and don't have said licence to sell cannabis now. Is a shame because they had nice stuff but you can still take your own there, just think of it as a trendy bar/cafe that you can still smoke in.
