I have been to Amsterdam before & chose canal tour which was average. Overall I am not impressed with Amsterdam & I guess that is why I forgot I visited on another cruise 6 years ago. This happened to be a port on current cruise

Horrible experience. They pack people onto their boats like sardines, with absolutely zero concern for comfort or COVID safety. If you don’t have COVID when you get on, you may have it by the time you get off. It doesn’t matter if you are the first or last to get on, they will pack you so tight that unless you’re an anorexic you’ll barely have room to sit. Staff is rude and dismissive. They have a corner on the bus tour market, so they don’t seem to care about anyone else’s money. Speaking of money, we charged our tickets and they would not give a refund. Had to fill out a form that must be approved by their “office” before a refund will be (may be) issued. We’ve been all over the Netherlands for the last two weeks (from Texel to Delft to Amsterdam) and this was by far our worst experience. DO NOT waste your time or money on this “cruise” unless you don’t mind sitting in a floating cattle car for an hour. F-

While in Amsterdam in December, my wife and I took the day canal cruise with the tour guides telling us all the highlights of the tour. It is worth taking it to learn about the canals and the history of Amsterdam. Can be heard in many languages. The day was cold but the boat was heated and had a bathroom. Check out my photos. We stopped where you can see the seven bridges, very nice daily tour. I recommend it.

Se siete in viaggio, anche per pochi gionri, non si può non vedere Amsterdam con una crociera sui suoi canali, fa l'altro il personale è sempre gentile e divertente!!

日のくれる前に出発するクルーズに乗船しました。夕刻からライトの点り始める夜になると、運河のあちこちに照明を使った芸術が並びます。ライトを使った表現は美しく、運河が魅力のアムステルダムをより楽しむことができました。ただクルーズ船に天井があったり、左右で見えるものの当たり外れがあるので、進行方向の右側に着席することをお勧めします。

I have to tell you that dexterity of the cruise captain is praise worthy...some of canals get really narrow and navigating between the canal traffic is difficult. But that;s their and they do it well. This is a must do. A lot of history of the city is seen from canals. These cruises cover the main canals of Amsterdam Herengracht, Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht; as well as the smaller and less know canals.
Many of the building and houses along the canal as discussed including the shapes, the narrowest buildings (which is the narrow width facing the canal)...but which have the length that one cant see from the canals and finally the Gables.
There is also a bar where one can buy drink.

The best for touring Amsterdam is hop on, hop off tour boat and bus. Daily ticket is € 25 with unlimited entrances and exits. We did not have headphones in the boat so the voice of the guides through the loudspeakers was not best heard but everything was extraordinary except the bad weather, which is normal for this time of year. With a handy city guide and a little preparation, you can see very successful the most important and interesting places in the city.

suggestiva e davvero esaustiva la canal cruise, se poi fatta con partenza al tramonto e navigazione parzialmente notturna è estremamente suggestiva! il battello è coperto, quindi anche in caso di tempo non proprio clemente ci si può godere un giro rilassante con un bel bicchiere di vino: a bordo c'è il bar!
